Apply & track with Apply EdgeOur client, a global tech leader is looking for an experienced Global Credit and Collections Manager to join their team in Madrid.Our client is seeking a Global Credit & Collections Manager to lead their worldwide accounts receivable strategy. This is a pivotal time for our Finance organization as we transition to Workday. You will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s assets by managing credit risk and optimizing our global collections process. You will play a lead role in the Workday implementation, ensuring our "Order-to-Cash" (O2C) workflows are best-in-class. What you’ll be doingGlobal Credit Strategy: Define and maintain the Global Credit Policy. Establish credit limits and risk categories for a diverse portfolio of international customers. Collections Management: Drive the global collections to meet or exceed DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and Collections Effectiveness Index (CEI) targets. Workday ERP Implementation: * Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Credit and AR modules during the Workday rollout. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data migration for customer credit files. Design new automated dunning (collection notice) workflows within the new system. Risk Mitigation: Monitor global economic trends and customer financial health to minimize bad debt write-offs. Manage relationships with third-party collection agencies and credit insurers. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Sales to find ways to say "yes" to deals while maintaining security, and with Legal to handle complex dispute resolutions. Reporting & Analytics: Provide executive-level visibility into cash forecasting, aging trends, and regional performance. What we’re looking for Minimum of 5+ years in Credit & Collections, with global leadership capacity a plus. ERP Migration Expertise: Direct experience moving a finance department through an ERP transition (Workday experience is a significant advantage, but others also relevant). Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Credit Scoring models and automated AR workflows. Financial Acumen: Good understanding of US GAAP/IFRS, specifically regarding revenue recognition and allowance for doubtful accounts. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CCP (Certified Credit Professional) designation preferred.
