Global IT Security Engineer

The mission of the Global IT Security Engineer is to develop and implement cybersecurity solutions, maintain existing security systems, and support our global IT infrastructure and users in cybersecurity-related matters.In this role, you will play a key part in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and implementing security best practices to protect our organization against internal and external threats. You will also participate in cybersecurity projects across the Habasit global team.Main tasks and responsibilitiesCollaborate as a member of our global IT Security and Network team with regional IT teams and external partners to implement and maintain secure infrastructure in alignment with industry best practices.Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs using SIEM platforms and tools to identify security weaknesses, investigate potential threats, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.Conduct regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments to proactively identify, investigate, and remediate IT security threats, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Respond to computer security incidents, investigate and remediate them, or escalate them to relevant support teams, including vendors, as well as asset and business owners.Implement and maintain a layered security approach, including network security, endpoint security, and cloud security measures.Support activities related to IT networking, application security, third-party vendor management, and OT environments.Perform maintenance and upgrades of security components and systems, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.Conduct penetration testing to identify weaknesses in system defenses.Assist in developing documentation, training materials, and other knowledge-sharing initiatives related to infrastructure security.Work effectively in an international environment and participate in global IT projects.Education and experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Information Systems and IT security-related functions in multiple geographical locations.Solid understanding of network and computer security, security testing, and software security.Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.Experience with firewalls, endpoint protection software, and intrusion detection systems.Extensive knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and frameworks (MITRE, NIST).Familiarity with the Azure cloud platform and its security models, MFA, CA, PAM, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.Experience with SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability and endpoint management tools, and EDR/XDR platforms (MS365, MS Defender, Intune, Entra ID).Familiarity with AI security tools and protection techniques.Proven hands-on network architecture experience, including firewalls, routing and switching, and segmentation.Knowledge of standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR).Cybersecurity certifications are an asset (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security).Experience in an international environment.Personal characteristicsLeadershipWhen required, get down in the thick of it with all colleagues to motivate them.Listen to concerns and provide appropriate solutions in a timely manner.Deep KnowledgeBe able to gain deep knowledge of Habasit’s values, infrastructure, systems, work processes, and procedures.Be able to bring all IT-related aspects within Habasit to new heights.Customer InsightsWhen changing processes, put yourself in the internal or external customer’s position and evaluate/judge the potential positive impact.Service OrientationStrive to provide timely and professional service.Is this role for you?If you are eager to join a dynamic, innovative, and diverse company and to quickly progress while making a difference in an impact-oriented culture, then the Global IT Security Engineer role could be a great fit.
