As the external trade compliance environment evolves, Mattson Technology now operates independently from the parent company in product, business, and operations, serving customers outside of China.Global Logistics ManagerWe are seeking a Global Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end international and domestic logistics operations, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance across a multi-modal network. This role owns global transportation strategy and execution, customs and trade compliance partnership, 3PL performance, and continuous improvement across planning, execution, and analytics.Key Responsibilities· Own global logistics operations across ocean, air, ground, and parcel—balancing service, cost, and risk.· Develop and execute transportation strategy, including network design, lane optimization, mode selection, and carrier/3PL sourcing.· Lead import/export execution in partnership with customs brokers and trade compliance; ensure accurate documentation and regulatory adherence (e.g., Incoterms, HS classification support, denied party screening coordination).· Manage relationships and performance of carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and 3PL warehouses; define SLAs/KPIs and drive corrective actions.· Drive budget planning, forecasting, and cost-to-serve analysis; identify and deliver savings initiatives (tenders, consolidations, packaging, duty optimization support).· Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Operations, and Finance.· Lead exception management for delays, capacity constraints, damages, and claims; implement mitigation plans and escalation protocols.· Implement and continuously improve logistics processes and systems (WMS/ERP integrations, EDI, track-and-trace, master data quality).· Develop dashboards and routines to monitor OTIF, lead time, freight spend, accessorials, demurrage/detention.· Support global growth and new product introductions by establishing logistics readiness (routes, packaging, compliance, forward stocking locations).· Ensure adherence to safety, security, and quality standards for transportation and storage.· Lead, coach, and develop logistics team members; set goals, create playbooks, and build a culture of continuous improvement.Required Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).· 5+ years of progressive experience in global logistics/transportation management, including international freight (air/ocean) and domestic distribution.· Hands-on experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, including contract/SLA management.· Working knowledge of international trade and customs processes, Incoterms, export documentation, and import clearance.· Proficiency with logistics systems and data analysis (e.g., WMS/ERP, Excel; BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau a plus).· Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage freight budgets and deliver measurable cost reductions.· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across functions and regions.Key Competencies· Strategic planning and execution in complex, global supply chains· Vendor management, negotiation, and performance management· Data-driven decision-making; KPI definition and operational cadence· Risk management and problem solving under time pressure· Process design, documentation, and cross-functional change management· Customer focus with a strong bias for action and accountabilityWorking Conditions & TravelThis role may require occasional travel to logistics partners, ports, and regional sites (typically less than 10%, depending on business needs).
