Global Project Manager (m/f/d) Global Trade Management & Supply Chain

For our client, a leading company in the semiconductor sector, we are looking for a Global Project Manager (m/f/d)– Supply Chain & Global Trade Management based in Böblingen.Your contribution:As part of our global transformation, you will manage strategic projects across Supply Chain, Logistics and Global Trade Management (GTM). You will be responsible for planning, leading, and delivering complex transformation projects while ensuring strong stakeholder alignment and sustainable business outcomes.Your key responsibilities:Develop project charters, business cases, value assessments, and ROI calculationsEstablish project organization, governance, roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structuresDefine and implement target operating models and end-to-end business processesLead projects related to Global Trade Management, trade compliance, supply chain, logistics, and digital transformationEvaluate, select, and implement business applications and technology solutions, including GTM solutionsDrive business requirements, process design, solution implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilizationManage project scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and project qualityEstablish and manage effective communication and change management plansCoordinate cross-functional and international project teams and ensure delivery against agreed milestonesManage stakeholders across business functions, regions, and management levelsMonitor project progress and provide transparent status reporting to steering committees and senior managementLead the stabilization phase and ensure successful handover, achievement validation, and formal project sign-offIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future initiativesWillingness to travel internationally, approximately 10–20%Your background:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Global Trade, Information Systems, or a comparable fieldSeveral years of proven experience as a Project Manager leading complex business transformation projects in an international environmentProven hands-on experience in Global Trade Management (GTM) and/or Global Trade Compliance is a mustStrong understanding of end-to-end global trade processes, including import/export, trade compliance, customs, classification, restricted party screening, export controls, and/or related processesExperience driving supply chain and logistics process improvements in a global organizationProven project management expertise using both waterfall and agile methodologies; formal certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent is a plusExperience with GTM platforms and/or trade compliance solutions is a must; experience with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems is highly desirableExperience with system, process, and data integration across business and IT environmentsStrong experience in business requirements management, process design, solution evaluation, and implementationProven change management experience is a mustStrong experience in cross-functional stakeholder management, including senior business and IT stakeholdersSolid experience in risk, issue, dependency, budget, and resource managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand both detailed processes/data and the broader business contextExcellent planning, organizational, communication, and presentation skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and TeamsExperience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar is a plusFluent written and spoken English is a must; German and/or Japanese is a plusAbility to work effectively in a global, multicultural, and cross-functional environmentSelf-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive initiatives independentlyStrong team leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and motivate multiple cross-functional teams toward common objectivesDemonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to foster an inclusive team environmentWhat makes you successful in this role:You combine strong project management capabilities with deep Global Trade Management expertise.
