About AKD Advanced MaterialsAKD Advanced Materials is building a globally connected platform for the sourcing, trading and supply of advanced metals, speciality alloys and critical materials for industries including aerospace, defence, energy, automotive and advanced manufacturing.We are looking for a highly resourceful Global Sourcing Manager to help build our Phase 1 trading and sourcing ecosystem from the ground up.Role OverviewThis is not a conventional procurement or logistics role. The candidate will work closely with the Founder and leadership team to identify products, build global supplier networks, understand material specifications and establish strong sourcing capabilities for AKD.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate and develop suppliers across India, China, Europe, USA and other global markets.Build relationships with manufacturers, mills, processors, stockists, distributors and trading companies.Source advanced metals and materials including:Titanium and titanium alloysNickel and nickel-based alloysAluminium alloysStainless and specialty steelsCopper alloysSuperalloys and other high-performance materialsHelp identify and evaluate new product categories for AKD's Phase 1 trading business.Understand material grades, specifications, standards and applications.Lead RFQs and negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs and delivery schedules.Develop multiple sourcing options and alternate suppliers.Analyse global pricing, supply-demand trends and sourcing opportunities.Support landed-cost calculations, imports, Incoterms and international logistics.Build AKD's supplier database, sourcing processes and product intelligence systems.Required Profile5–10 years of experience in global sourcing, international procurement, metals trading or industrial materials.Strong exposure to metals, alloys, industrial or advanced materials preferred.Experience in international supplier development and negotiation.Understanding of imports, exports, Incoterms and international trade.Ability to understand technical specifications, certifications and material documentation.Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build processes from scratch.Preferred BackgroundCandidates from speciality metals trading, metals distribution, aerospace/defence supply chains, industrial sourcing, manufacturing procurement or international commodity trading will be preferred.Engineering or materials-related qualifications are an advantage, but practical experience and industry knowledge will be highly valued.What We OfferCTC: ₹12–25 LPA, based on experience and expertise.Exposure to ESOPs, EQUITY, etc.Performance-linked incentives Direct exposure to the Founder and senior leadership.Opportunity to build AKD's global sourcing ecosystem from an early stage.Strong long-term growth potential within AKD Advanced Materials and the AKD Group.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a hands-on, commercially sharp and globally resourceful professional who can understand new materials quickly, find reliable suppliers worldwide, negotiate competitive deals and help build AKD's sourcing capabilities from the ground up.
