seeking an experienced Global Sourcing Manager to develop and execute global sourcing strategies across assigned products, categories, materials, suppliers, factories, countries, and regions.The ideal candidate will manage the sourcing lifecycle from market intelligence, supplier identification, capability assessment, RFQ/RFP, costing, negotiation, supplier selection, onboarding, development, production readiness, performance management, risk mitigation, and continuous cost optimization.This role requires a combination of strategic sourcing expertise, international supplier management, commercial negotiation, product and manufacturing knowledge, analytical capability, and strong cross-functional leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned with business growth, product strategy, category requirements, cost targets, quality expectations, lead times, capacity requirements, risk objectives, and sustainability commitments.Establish sourcing strategies by category, product group, material, supplier, country, region, and manufacturing capability.Develop multi-country sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, capacity, speed, flexibility, resilience, and risk.Identify opportunities to diversify sourcing across countries and regions.Evaluate the optimal geographic sourcing footprint for different product categories and materials.Monitor global supply-market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.Develop sourcing roadmaps covering short-, medium-, and long-term supplier and manufacturing requirements.Translate commercial, product, demand, and supply-chain requirements into sourcing strategies.Partner with Buying, Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to understand future sourcing requirements.Build and maintain a global supplier and factory network.Identify, evaluate, qualify, onboard, and develop new suppliers and manufacturing partners.Conduct supplier-market mapping and capability assessments.Identify alternative suppliers for critical products, materials, components, and manufacturing processes.Develop supplier pipelines for new categories, new products, new markets, and capacity requirements.Maintain a qualified supplier database covering capabilities, capacity, location, certifications, product expertise, quality performance, cost competitiveness, lead times, compliance, and commercial terms.Assess suppliers based on product capability, manufacturing technology, capacity, quality systems, financial stability, delivery performance, compliance, sustainability, innovation, flexibility, and strategic fit.Conduct supplier due diligence and pre-qualification activities.Coordinate supplier audits and capability assessments with Quality, Compliance, Sustainability, and other relevant functions.Develop supplier onboarding processes and qualification criteria.Negotiate supplier agreements and commercial terms.Lead RFQ, RFP, tender, quotation, and competitive-bidding processes.Develop sourcing-event strategies and supplier comparison models.Issue sourcing requirements, specifications, volumes, target costs, delivery requirements, quality standards, and commercial expectations to suppliers.Analyze supplier quotations and identify differences in cost structure, MOQ, lead time, capacity, payment terms, tooling, packaging, logistics, and other commercial factors.Conduct should-cost and cost-breakdown analysis where appropriate.Analyze raw materials, labor, overhead, manufacturing processes, packaging, freight, duties, tooling, testing, and other cost components.Establish target costs and sourcing benchmarks.Identify opportunities to reduce total landed cost rather than focusing solely on supplier unit price.Benchmark supplier pricing across countries, factories, materials, and manufacturing processes.Identify cost gaps and develop negotiation strategies to close them.Lead supplier negotiations covering price, MOQ, payment terms, lead time, capacity allocation, tooling, development costs, quality requirements, packaging, freight, rebates, warranties, service levels, and other commercial conditions.Negotiate long-term commercial arrangements with strategic suppliers.Develop negotiation strategies using volume leverage, market intelligence, supplier alternatives, cost analysis, capacity requirements, and total business value.Protect target costs and margins while maintaining sustainable supplier relationships.Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, specification optimization, packaging optimization, process improvement, and supplier consolidation.Develop annual and project-based cost-reduction programs.Establish sourcing savings targets and track realized versus planned savings.Validate sourcing savings with Finance and ensure savings are measured consistently.Identify opportunities to leverage consolidated volumes across categories, brands, business units, regions, and markets.Evaluate supplier consolidation opportunities where they improve cost, quality, service, or strategic value.Avoid excessive supplier concentration where it creates material supply risk.Develop dual-source and multi-source strategies for critical products and materials.Assess supplier capacity and production availability.Develop capacity-planning strategies with strategic suppliers.Secure production capacity for seasonal, promotional, launch, and peak-demand requirements.Monitor supplier capacity utilization and potential constraints.Identify capacity risks early and develop alternative sourcing solutions.Coordinate with suppliers to reserve capacity for critical products and periods.Evaluate supplier production lead times and manufacturing flexibility.Develop strategies to reduce lead times where commercially and operationally appropriate.Identify opportunities for nearshoring, regional sourcing, localization, or alternative production footprints where appropriate.Evaluate country-of-origin implications for sourcing decisions.Monitor tariffs, duties, trade regulations, import restrictions, customs requirements, geopolitical developments, sanctions, currency movements, labor-market conditions, infrastructure, and other country-level factors affecting sourcing.Assess the impact of international trade changes on sourcing costs and supply continuity.Develop sourcing alternatives in response to geopolitical, regulatory, economic, environmental, or operational risks.Monitor global supplier-market developments and emerging manufacturing regions.Identify emerging sourcing countries, supplier clusters, technologies, manufacturing capabilities, and production opportunities.Conduct country and supplier benchmarking.Develop country-of-origin sourcing recommendations based on cost, quality, capacity, lead time, risk, compliance, and strategic fit.Manage sourcing for new products and product-development programs.Engage suppliers early in product-development processes.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have experience in global sourcing, strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, supply-chain sourcing, merchandise sourcing, manufacturing sourcing, or related international commercial roles.Experience across fashion, apparel, footwear, accessories, beauty, consumer goods, retail, private label, electronics, home, lifestyle, industrial products, packaging, or other globally sourced product categories is highly advantageous.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of global sourcing strategy and international supplier markets.Proven experience managing suppliers, factories, manufacturers, and sourcing programs across multiple countries and regions.Strong understanding of international manufacturing ecosystems and supplier capabilities.Experience developing multi-country sourcing strategies and geographic supplier diversification.Strong supplier-identification, qualification, onboarding, and development capabilities.Proven experience managing RFQ, RFP, tender, quotation, and competitive-sourcing processes.Strong commercial negotiation experience covering price, MOQ, payment terms, capacity, lead time, tooling, development costs, quality, delivery, rebates, and other commercial conditions.Strong understanding of should-cost, cost breakdown, target costing, benchmarking, and total-cost analysis.
