Job descriptionWork with Contract Manufacturers and Engineering contacts to manage compliance requirements for new project builds from early stages until final retail goods are deliveredEnsure that all compliance requirements are in place for international shipments, including but not limited to Harmonized Tariff Schedule Classification, Country of Origin, Value, Certification or Uncertified Device approval.Ensure that compliance documents, such as commercial invoice and packing list, follow guidance in place from Customs and from the clientIdentify gaps in compliance processes and find solutionsEstablish and monitor service providers’ performance against clearly defined Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s)Support operational teams in various regions in communicating with Contract Manufacturers and obtaining information and revised documents as needed.Maintain compliance guidelines for Contract Manufacturers according to instructions from clientSupport tracking and recall of Uncertified Devices imported under temporary allowance in certain countriesAssist with trademark authorization for certain imports upon request, according to written guidelinesObtain entry documents from brokers upon request from clientReview entry errors and perform root cause analysisResolve shipment holds by obtaining information requested by customs brokers and providing clearance instructionsDevelop and maintain customized compliance programs and processes specific to client needConduct audits to assess the export/import compliance of client and supporting operating entities Assist in determining and implementing corrective actions where necessaryGather and provide detailed analysis and information which may financially impact sourcing decisionsIdentify cost savings opportunities from client data sourcesContinuously evaluate current processes and recommend relevant changes or improvements to increase efficiency/productivityRequirements & QualificationsEducation or Experiences:2 Years of relevant experience in Trade Compliance operations, customs brokers, trade consulting, trade law or related disciplines Proficiency in Chinese reading/writing and spoken MandarinProficiency in written and spoken EnglishBachelor’s or equivalent college degree Program and project management experience preferredAbility to formulate and present high level presentations and conduct trainings
