This scale of operations offers professionals the opportunity to work on complex, high-value real estate developments.Role Description The GM Purchase / Senior Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for leading and managing the procurement function for large residential construction projects. The role involves developing and implementing purchase strategies, identifying and qualifying vendors, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services. The individual will oversee purchase orders, track deliveries, maintain optimal inventory levels, and coordinate closely with project, site, engineering, and finance teams to meet project timelines and cost targets. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating vendor performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards, analyzing market trends and material costs, and preparing regular reports on procurement activities and budgets. The role also includes streamlining purchasing processes, implementing cost-control measures, and contributing to long-term supplier relationships that support the company’s growth plans.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor management, contract negotiation, purchase planning, and inventory control.Candidates should possess construction and real estate domain skills, such as knowledge of building materials, understanding of project timelines, and familiarity with large-scale residential township projects.Candidates should possess analytical and commercial skills, including cost estimation, budget management, market analysis, and the ability to optimize value without compromising quality.Candidates should possess organizational and leadership skills, including team management, cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and decision-making under time and cost constraints.Candidates should possess communication and stakeholder management skills, including clear written and verbal communication, vendor relationship building, and effective collaboration with internal project teams.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; an MBA or specialized certification in supply chain or procurement is an advantage.Significant experience in purchase/procurement roles within the construction or infrastructure industry, preferably at a senior or managerial level, is highly beneficial.Proficiency in ERP or procurement software, strong
