Golf - Agronomy Foreman

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Agronomy Foreman to join our team, contributing to the management and maintenance of our world-class golf facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring the health, quality, and playability of the golf course turf, green spaces, and surrounding landscapes.As the Golf Agronomy Foreman, you will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the agronomy team, ensuring that agronomic practices meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability. You will work closely with golf course managers and agronomy specialists to implement effective turf management and maintenance programs.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage agronomy staff in the daily maintenance of golf course turf, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and soil managementImplement turf management programs that optimize turf health and ensure excellent playing conditionsMonitor turf health and soil conditions, recommending and applying corrective measures as neededCoordinate the scheduling of maintenance activities to minimize disruption to golf course operationsEnsure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all agronomy activitiesMaintain inventory of agronomy supplies and equipment, ordering materials as neededTrain and mentor agronomy staff, promoting best practices and continuous improvementCollaborate with management to develop seasonal plans and budgets for agronomy operationsStay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in golf course agronomy and turf managementRequirementsDiploma or degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turf Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 4-6 years of experience in golf course agronomy or turf management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of turfgrass species, soil science, pest control, irrigation systems, and fertility managementHands-on experience with turf maintenance equipment and toolsExcellent leadership and team management skillsAbility to work in a physically demanding environmentGood communication and organizational skillsFamiliarity with environmental regulations and sustainable agronomy practicesAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
