The Skills We Are Looking for: Senior Cloud Platform Engineer5+ years of experience in enterprise DevOps, DevSecOps or Cloud Engineering; preferably working with one of the Hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).Working knowledge of DevSecOps best practice – Inspect – Continuous compliance framework – secure coding – CIS complianceGitOps, CI/CD and IAC experience, Ansible or chef, especially with GitLab Ultimate and TerraformOutstanding & proactive oral and written communication skills - with colleagues, mentees, and customersProblem-solving + analytical troubleshooting mindset with a hands-on attitudeProviding solutions for our developers to deliver features and changes in fast, scalable, and reliable mannerExposure to programming and experience with operations in a commercial environment Knowledge and practical experience of scaling web applications, caring about site uptime and performanceExperience working in a 100% cloud native environmentDesire to work in a fast paced, ever evolving and growing dynamic environmentPrefers CLI over GUIThe Tools We UseStrong background in Linux/Unix and system administrationKnowledge of best practices and operations in an always-up, always-available 24/7/365 online worldIn depth experience with automation/configuration management/secrets management using either Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Vault and other Hashicorp productsExperience with Kubernetes and Oracle Cloud will be a distinct advantage.Experience with Private/Public cloud Kubernetes deployment and automationIn depth knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes, service meshExperience with Docker, Docker images and usage in CI/CD and cloud environmentsExperience with agile software development + DevOps philosophies + 12 factor appExperience of ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace)Git source control and GitHub experienceTooling within the CNCF landscapeDesirableExperience with Atlassian tools (JIRA/Confluence)Experience with configuring and using a CI/CD tool such as Jenkins, Concourse-CIExperience with Java, Node.js and PythonWorking understanding of code/script (Bash/Shell)Desirable experience with: Kong, Spark/Hadoop, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB, any other RDBMS experience (e.g., Oracle or PostgreSQL)Experience with SAML2/OAUTH2Technology skills are important when looking for candidates, however, you might not have everything single thing we are looking for, but that’s okay, we are very keen on people willing to learn where there are gaps, have an innovative mind, versatile and out-of-the box thinkers who can logically think through problems and find solutions.
