You'll be a trusted governance lead who can identify risks, analyse trends, coordinate improvement actions and ensure changes are followed through to completion.The RoleReporting to the Registered Manager and Managing Director, you will take ownership of key governance systems, quality assurance processes, compliance monitoring, operational reporting and digital improvement projects.You will work across the organisation to strengthen governance and regulatory compliance while supporting managers and frontline teams to continually improve the quality and safety of care.You'll need to be comfortable working autonomously, asking the right questions and constructively challenging managers when required.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & Regulatory ComplianceSupport ongoing CQC and CIW inspection readinessMaintain governance trackers, compliance systems and action plansMonitor changes in legislation, regulatory guidance and best practiceCoordinate policy reviews and ensure documentation remains currentPrepare evidence for inspections, audits and commissioner reviewsIdentify compliance risks and recommend practical solutionsEnsure agreed governance actions are followed through to completionQuality Assurance & ImprovementReview incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and audit findingsIdentify trends, themes and areas requiring improvementSupport and undertake root cause analysis and incident investigationsDevelop and monitor quality improvement action plansConduct and coordinate audits across servicesChallenge poor practice appropriately and professionallyWork collaboratively with managers and staff to embed improvementsHelp develop a positive culture of learning and continuous improvementData, KPIs & ReportingProduce governance dashboards and KPI reportsAnalyse operational and quality data to identify emerging trendsEnsure information is accurate and validated before external submissionPrepare meaningful reports for senior leadershipSupport board reports, tenders and commissioner returnsUse Excel, Power BI and internal business systems to support data-driven decision-makingDigital Projects & InnovationCoordinate digital transformation and improvement projectsLiaise with software, website and technology providersSupport the introduction of AI, automation and improved reporting systemsAssist with cyber security, GDPR and digital governance initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency through technologyTraining & CommunicationMonitor mandatory training complianceIdentify emerging learning and development needsProduce governance updates, newsletters and staff briefingsSupport the implementation of new and updated policiesHelp ensure staff understand their responsibilities around quality, safety and complianceWho We're Looking ForWe're particularly interested in candidates with hands-on provider-level governance and quality experience within adult or paediatric complex care, adult social care or a similar regulated healthcare environment.You should be able to demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:Health and/or Social Care GovernanceAdult and/or Paediatric Complex CareCQC and/or CIW complianceQuality Assurance and Quality ImprovementIncident investigation and Root Cause AnalysisSafeguarding and complaints managementClinical or operational auditsRegulatory complianceHealthcare staffingProject coordinationDigital systems and transformationKPI and business reportingContinuous improvementYou'll Also BringExcellent analytical and problem-solving challenge practice and decisionsStrong relationship-building skillsThe ability to manage multiple priorities and projectsA proactive approach with the confidence to take ownershipClinical / Registered Manager ExperienceA nursing qualification and current NMC registration would be advantageous but is not essential, provided you can demonstrate strong provider-level governance experience within complex care or a comparable regulated healthcare setting.Experience as a CQC Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Clinical Governance Lead, Quality Manager or similar would also be highly
