Governance, Policy & Delegation-of-Authority Lead(Emirati)

Birbal AI is seeking an experienced Emirati Governance, Policy & Delegation-of-Authority Lead for a major Abu Dhabi Government digital transformation programme.This role will lead governance framework development, policy modernization, Delegation of Authority (DoA), controls, compliance, and enterprise governance supporting AI-enabled business processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and update governance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrices.Design governance controls, approval workflows, and business rule frameworks.Establish Responsible AI governance and human-in-the-loop approval processes.Ensure alignment with compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, and data governance requirements.Work closely with enterprise architecture, business process, legal, and compliance teams.Support governance implementation across enterprise transformation initiatives.Qualifications10+ years of experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), policy development, or enterprise governance.UAE National (Emirati) – MandatoryProven experience developing Delegation of Authority (DoA) frameworks, governance policies, and control frameworks.Experience working with UAE Government or highly regulated organizations.Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and enterprise controls.Professional proficiency in Arabic and English.Preferred Certification:CGEITCRISCCOBITITILAudit or Governance certifications
