TFG maintains offices and advocates in Jacksonville and Tallahassee, supporting clients in Florida and beyond.Role DescriptionThe Government Affairs Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, FL or Tallahassee FL, with travel required as needed to service clients. This position is responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, analyzing their impact on client interests, and advising on effective advocacy strategies. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with government officials, public agencies, and stakeholder organizations, as well as coordinating and attending meetings, hearings, and events relevant to clients’ policy goals. The Government Affairs Manager will prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations, and support the design and implementation of strategic work plans and coalition-building efforts. The position also requires collaborating closely with internal team members and clients to ensure timely communication and alignment on priorities.QualificationsStrong foundation in Governmental Affairs and Government Relations, with experience navigating state and local policy environments.Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and complex policy issues.Excellent Communication capabilities, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to present to diverse audiences.Background in Public Affairs, including stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and advocacy initiatives.Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, law, business, or a related field; advanced degree is beneficial.Experience working with or within government agencies, legislative offices, or public policy organizations is preferred.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information and client matters.Benefits and PerksCompetitive PTO, Cell phone reimbursement, Charitable giving allowance, Health and wellness allowance. 100% employer covered health/dental/vision for employee family. 401(k) matching, parental leave, work from home opportunities available.
