This role would be ideal for an electorate officer/Ministerial advisor or for an agency consultant to take their experience into their first in-house role and develop their career at the next level.Reporting to the Head of Public Policy, this role sits at the intersection of business, politics and public policy. It is ideally suited to an organised, tech-savvy corporate affairs or policy professional looking to build on their early government, political or corporate affairs experience.Here's More About the Role:Coordinate strategic stakeholder engagement and advocacy programs across federal, state and industry stakeholders.Support the planning and delivery of public policy and advocacy initiatives.Monitor political, legislative and regulatory developments, providing timely analysis and briefings for senior leaders.Assist in the development of policy submissions, consultation responses and advocacy material.Help prepare briefing papers on government policy, budgets, elections and emerging public affairs issues.Work closely with communications, media, sustainability and corporate affairs colleagues to support integrated external engagement.Here's More About You:Experience in monitoring and analysing political developments, legislation, government reports or media coverage, and drafting clear, concise summaries and briefs.Experience in a peak body, government affairs consultancy or ministerial/electorate/departmental office will be highly regarded.High digital literacy – will be comfortable using and learning advanced digital platforms and generative AI tools to automate routine tracking and research.Detail oriented with a proactive attitude.
