to navigate regulatory requirements, facilitate government processes, protect organizational interests, and support sustainable business operations.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Government Relations Manager to lead government engagement, regulatory coordination, public-sector relationships, licensing, permits, approvals, compliance support, and government-facing activities across the organization.The ideal candidate will combine strong knowledge of UAE government processes with stakeholder management, regulatory awareness, negotiation, communication, documentation, and organizational leadership capabilities.The role will be responsible for developing government-relations strategies, maintaining effective relationships with relevant authorities, coordinating licenses and approvals, monitoring regulatory developments, and ensuring government-related requirements are completed accurately and within required timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement government-relations strategies aligned with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, operational needs, and business priorities.Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with relevant government authorities, ministries, municipalities, regulators, free-zone authorities, economic departments, immigration authorities, labor authorities, and other public-sector stakeholders.Act as a key point of contact between the organization and government entities on regulatory, licensing, compliance, operational, and administrative matters.Coordinate government applications, registrations, licenses, permits, approvals, certificates, renewals, and other official requirements.Monitor the status of government submissions and ensure applications, documentation, payments, approvals, and renewals are completed within required deadlines.Maintain comprehensive government-relations records including licenses, permits, certificates, government correspondence, applications, renewal schedules, approvals, and regulatory documentation.Monitor changes in UAE laws, regulations, government policies, administrative procedures, licensing requirements, labor regulations, immigration requirements, and other developments relevant to the organization.Translate regulatory and government requirements into practical actions for internal departments.Advise senior management and functional leaders on government processes, regulatory developments, potential compliance risks, and required actions.Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams on regulatory matters, government correspondence, inspections, investigations, disputes, and official inquiries.Support company formation, branch registrations, corporate registrations, amendments, business-license renewals, ownership changes, and other corporate-government processes where applicable.Coordinate employee-related government processes including work permits, visas, residency matters, labor registrations, employee documentation, and related government requirements in collaboration with HR.Support government approvals relating to projects, construction, property, operations, environmental matters, commercial activities, or other business requirements where applicable.Coordinate with municipalities, economic departments, free zones, chambers of commerce, immigration authorities, labor authorities, tax authorities, and sector-specific regulators as required.Prepare and submit official letters, applications, declarations, forms, supporting documents, reports, and other government-facing materials.Review government correspondence and ensure appropriate responses are prepared, approved, submitted, and tracked.Facilitate government inspections, audits, visits, meetings, and official reviews.Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure the organization is prepared for government inspections and regulatory assessments.Develop government stakeholder maps and engagement plans covering key authorities, decision-makers, regulatory bodies, and strategic public-sector relationships.Identify opportunities to strengthen institutional relationships and improve communication with relevant government stakeholders.Represent the organization in government meetings, official events, industry forums, public-sector engagements, and relevant institutional activities.Support strategic initiatives involving government entities, public-sector partnerships, investment authorities, economic-development organizations, and other institutional stakeholders.Identify government-related risks that may affect business operations, licensing, projects, workforce, market access, or organizational reputation.Develop mitigation strategies and escalation procedures for regulatory delays, licensing issues, government requests, compliance concerns, and other government-related risks.Establish and monitor KPIs covering government application turnaround, renewal performance, regulatory compliance, approval timelines, outstanding government matters, and stakeholder engagement.Coordinate with Finance to ensure government fees, licenses, permits, fines, deposits, and other official payments are properly managed and recorded.Work with Procurement and Operations teams where government approvals or regulatory requirements affect suppliers, contractors, projects, or business operations.Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive government and corporate information is handled appropriately.Develop government-relations procedures, internal guidelines, process maps, escalation frameworks, and governance standards.Identify opportunities to digitize and streamline government-relations processes and improve turnaround times.Prepare management reports, regulatory updates, government-relations dashboards, risk reports, and executive-level recommendations.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Performance will be measured government-process efficiencyGovernment-related operational continuityCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate should have strong experience in government relations, public-sector affairs, regulatory affairs, corporate administration, PRO services, compliance, or a related field.Strong knowledge of UAE government processes and public-sector structures is highly desirable.Experience dealing with ministries, municipalities, free zones, economic departments, immigration authorities, labor authorities, chambers of commerce, regulators, and other UAE government entities would be advantageous.Experience in construction, real estate, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, technology, or other regulated industries would be valuable.What You'll regulatory processes.Experience coordinating government applications, approvals, renewals, inspections, and official correspondence.Strong documentation and administrative-management skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management capabilities.Ability to navigate complex government processes and resolve administrative or regulatory issues effectively.Strong understanding of confidentiality, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.Experience working with digital government platforms and e-government systems is advantageous.Strong organizational and follow-up skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple government requirements, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and escalation-management capabilities.Highly professional, diplomatic, proactive, and results-oriented.Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote environment.Arabic language skills are highly advantageous; English fluency is essential.Experience working within the UAE or wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
