Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole SummaryWe are looking for a Government Relations Specialist to manage government-related matters for a large-scale visitor destination in Riyadh. The person will deal with Saudi government authorities, manage permits and approvals, and handle employee-related government processes such as GOSI, employee transfers, work permits and residency matters. The role requires someone who understands Saudi government procedures and can follow up with different authorities to make sure everything is completed on time.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal with Saudi government authorities and follow up on applications and requests.Manage government permits, licences, approvals, registrations and renewals.Handle employee-related government processes, including:Employee transfersWork permitsResidency-related processesGOSI registration and updatesEmployee renewals and government documentationUse and manage relevant Saudi government platforms such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem and Absher Business, where applicable.Prepare and submit government forms, letters and supporting documents.Follow up with government authorities on pending applications and approvals.Coordinate government requirements for events, facilities, tourism, hospitality, safety and daily operations.Coordinate with HR, Legal, Finance, Operations, HSE, Facilities and other internal teams.Maintain records of permits, licences, certificates and renewal dates.Keep a simple tracker of all government applications and their status.Support government inspections, audits and official visits.Work with external PRO companies or consultants when required.Ensure government fees, documents and submissions are completed correctly and on time.Escalate any delays or issues that may affect operations.Provide regular updates to management on pending government matters.Required SkillsGood knowledge of Saudi government procedures and requirements.Hands-on experience with Qiwa, GOSI and other Saudi government platforms.Strong follow-up and coordination skills.Good Arabic and English communication skills.Good knowledge of government documentation and official letters.Required QualificationsValid Saudi work authorisation / transferable sponsorship, where applicable.Experience Requirement3-6+ years of experience in Government Relations, PRO, Public Relations or a similar role in Saudi Arabia.Experience handling employee transfers, work permits, residency and GOSI matters.Experience dealing directly with Saudi government authorities.Experience in tourism, hospitality, events, entertainment, real estate, facilities or large-scale projects is preferred.Location / Work ModeRiyadh, Saudi Arabia (Riyadh-based candidates will be considered only).
