As a manufacturer-neutral advisor, D&B’s recommendations are based on performance, safety, operational efficiency, and long-term value for clients.Role Description The Graduate Engineering Trainee will support the design and advisory work for vertical transportation and façade access systems, contributing to projects across multiple building types and global markets. This full-time hybrid role is based in Kochi, with a mix of office-based work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with technical analyses, preparing engineering calculations and reports, supporting traffic simulations and performance-based designs, and contributing to tender documentation and design reviews. The trainee will help gather and interpret project data, coordinate with senior engineers and consultants, and assist in project planning and documentation. The role also involves learning relevant industry standards, participating in internal reviews, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and maintainable solutions.Qualifications Strong Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering foundation, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.Solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret technical data, perform calculations, and support simulations or performance assessments.Effective Communication skills for clear written reports, documentation, and collaborative work with internal teams and external stakeholders.Basic Project Management capabilities, such as task prioritization, time management, and supporting coordinated delivery across multiple projects.Interest in building services, vertical transportation, or façade access systems, and willingness to learn relevant standards and best practices.Proficiency in common engineering and office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CAD or modelling tools is an advantage.Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Kochi, demonstrating reliability, self-discipline, and collaborative attitude in both office and remote environments.Attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.
