We work on complex and diverse matters for clients operating in varied in industries including financial services, retail and procurement and manufacturing. We offer the kind of hands-on experience and direct client exposure that's hard to find at a larger firm. You'll be working closely with our Principal Lawyer, who brings almost 20 years of experience in the field, giving you genuine mentorship and the opportunity to develop expertise early in your career.The OpportunityWe're looking for a Graduate or Junior Lawyer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a commercial mindset and an interest in financial services to build a career working on interesting, technically challenging matters. We will also consider applications from current law students who are looking to transition to a Graduate/PLT position.Our work spans:Advising on and assisting with the establishment of managed investment schemesActing in relation to the purchase and sale of businessesAustralian financial services (AFS) licensing, including licensing applications, conduct and disclosure obligationsCommercial matters, including corporate structuring and shareholders' agreementsCompliance reviewsRegulatory investigationsPrivacy lawAnti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF)Contract law, including drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial contractsWhat You'll Be DoingConducting legal research across complex and evolving areas of lawDrafting contracts, legal advice, and other legal documents with a high level of accuracyCommunicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatorsAssisting with business development activitiesSupporting general administrative tasks, including billing, invoicing, and accountingWorking closely with the Principal Lawyer across a range of client mattersAbout YouBachelor of Laws (LLB) requiredQualifications in commerce or finance highly regardedComfortable using tech including AI and spreadsheetStrong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA commercial mindset, with an interest in financial services lawProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordWhether you're a graduate looking to start your career or a junior to mid-level lawyer looking for your next step, we'd love to hear from youWhy Join UsThis is a genuine opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of interesting matters, working directly alongside an experienced Principal Lawyer.
