The School of Educational Studies offers postgraduate programmes and research opportunities across a range of educational fields, including TESOL/English language education.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) position at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be expected to register for the MA in Education (TESOL) programme at USM and undertake a Master’s research project related to the funded research project. The GRA will assist with activities such as literature reviews, data collection and analysis, research documentation, preparation of manuscripts and presentations, and other research-related tasks. The candidate will work closely with the project supervisor and contribute to the successful implementation and completion of the research project.This is not a remote position, and the successful candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in TESOL, English Language Education, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related fieldEligible and willing to enrol in the MA in Education (TESOL) programme at USMStrong interest in research, particularly in TESOL / English language educationGood academic writing and communication skills in EnglishAbility to conduct literature reviews and support qualitative and/or quantitative data collection and analysisGood organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with the research teamResponsible, self-motivated, and able to meet research and postgraduate study deadlines
