This position supports faculty in delivering high-quality instruction by assisting with classroom activities, leading discussion sections or labs, and providing academic support to students. Daily responsibilities may include preparing instructional materials, grading assignments, holding office or tutoring hours, and offering constructive feedback to learners. The Graduate Teaching Assistant collaborates with instructors to enhance student engagement, maintains a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and upholds Clemson University’s academic and ethical standards.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Assistant Teaching and Education, with the ability to support instructional activities at the university level.Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff in academic settings.Proficiency in Mathematics appropriate to the subject area, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and accurately.Experience and comfort Working With Children, adolescents, or young adults in educational or mentoring roles.Enrollment in or completion of a relevant graduate program, such as education, mathematics, or a related discipline.Ability to manage time effectively, organize multiple responsibilities, and meet academic deadlines.Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.Prior tutoring, teaching, or classroom support experience in higher education is preferred.
