Graduate Trainee Accountant

Robert Half has partnered with an accountancy practice to recruit a Graduate Trainee Accountant to join its team in South Manchester.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a career in accountancy, with structured training, study support and hands-on experience towards achieving the ACCA qualification.Key responsibilities:Supporting the preparation of accounts for a varied portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses.Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.Supporting the preparation of personal and company tax returns.Helping clients transition to and work with digital accounting systems.Developing knowledge across a broad range of accounting and tax activities.

Requirements

A degree at 2:1 level or above in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or a related discipline.A genuine interest in pursuing a career in accountancy.Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.A proactive approach with good attention to detail.Salary & Benefits:£25,000 salary.Full study support towards the ACCA qualification.Paid study leave.Structured training, professional development and on-the-job coaching.Four-year training programme.Working arrangements:Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.Fully office-based.South Manchester location.
