This role will ensure grant funds are managed responsibly, recipients meet contractual and program requirements, and funded activities deliver measurable outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement grants-management policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.Manage the full grant lifecycle from opportunity identification and application through award, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and closeout.Establish standardized grant-management workflows, controls, approval processes, and documentation requirements.Coordinate grant application intake, eligibility screening, evaluation, due diligence, and award processes.Review grant proposals, budgets, work plans, milestones, and supporting documentation.Coordinate grant review committees and ensure consistent evaluation and approval processes.Conduct financial and organizational due diligence on prospective grant recipients.Assess recipient capacity, financial controls, governance, risks, and ability to deliver proposed activities.Prepare grant agreements, award documentation, amendments, extensions, and related records in coordination with Legal and relevant stakeholders.Ensure grant terms, conditions, deliverables, payment schedules, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations are clearly documented.Maintain accurate grant portfolios, award records, recipient information, funding schedules, and documentation.Monitor grant expenditures against approved budgets and funding conditions.Review financial reports, invoices, expenditure documentation, and supporting evidence submitted by grant recipients.Coordinate payment approvals and ensure disbursements comply with grant agreements and internal controls.Track grant balances, commitments, advances, recoveries, and outstanding financial obligations.Monitor program milestones, deliverables, outputs, outcomes, and implementation progress.Review narrative and performance reports submitted by grant recipients.Identify delays, underperformance, budget variances, compliance issues, and other grant-management risks.Develop corrective-action plans and coordinate resolution of grant issues.Conduct recipient monitoring visits, reviews, audits, or assessments where required.Coordinate internal and external grant audits and ensure findings are addressed promptly.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, donor requirements, funding restrictions, contractual obligations, and organizational policies.Monitor changes to grant-related regulations, funding requirements, reporting standards, and compliance expectations.Manage grant modifications, budget revisions, extensions, suspensions, terminations, and closeout activities.Coordinate with Finance to reconcile grant accounts and confirm accurate financial reporting.Work with Legal on contractual issues, disputes, amendments, compliance matters, and recipient obligations.Coordinate with Program teams to ensure funded activities remain aligned with approved objectives and strategic priorities.Manage relationships with grant recipients, funding partners, government entities, community organizations, NGOs, institutions, and other stakeholders.Provide recipients with guidance on grant requirements, reporting standards, eligible costs, documentation, and compliance expectations.Develop grant-management training materials and provide guidance to internal teams and grant recipients.Establish grant performance dashboards and management reports.Track key financial, operational, compliance, and program-performance indicators across the grant portfolio.Identify opportunities to improve grant processes through automation, digital platforms, data analytics, and workflow optimization.Manage grants-management systems, databases, document repositories, and reporting tools.Maintain strong data quality, version control, audit trails, and document-retention practices.Identify grant portfolio risks and develop appropriate mitigation and escalation plans.Monitor potential conflicts of interest, fraud, misuse of funds, financial irregularities, and other integrity risks.Escalate significant compliance, financial, operational, or reputational concerns to appropriate leadership.Support grant forecasting, funding allocations, portfolio planning, and annual budgeting activities.Analyze grant utilization, program costs, recipient performance, and portfolio trends.Prepare executive reports covering grant awards, spending, performance, risks, compliance, and outcomes.Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.Support development of grant strategies, funding priorities, eligibility frameworks, and portfolio objectives.Ensure grant closeout includes final financial reconciliation, deliverable verification, asset disposition where applicable, and complete documentation.Maintain professional standards of transparency, CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in grants management, grant administration, program management, donor-funded programs, nonprofit operations, public-sector funding, philanthropy, financial management, or funded-program compliance.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of end-to-end grant-management processes.Experience managing grant portfolios, funding programs, or donor-funded initiatives.Strong knowledge of grant agreements, budgets, reporting, compliance, and closeout procedures.Experience reviewing grant applications, budgets, financial reports, and program deliverables.Strong financial-management and analytical skills.Experience conducting recipient due diligence and risk assessments.Strong understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial accountability.Excellent project-management and organizational capabilities.Strong stakeholder and relationship-management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to communicate complex grant requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.Experience working with
