- Works with: Account managers, the production team (shoots, edit, 3D), adsAbout HyphenHyphen is a research-based strategic agency in Dubai. We are not a social media agency. Every brand decision we make starts with consumer research and behavioural science, then design makes it visible. We don't chase virality, promise outcomes we can't control, or produce noise for volume's sake. We build brands that grow sustainably because they are understood.Every decision has a reason. We find it first. The RoleThis is a graphic design role first. Layout, typography, colour and hierarchy are the job. AI is how you do the job faster: you use it to cut production time, automate repetitive steps and scale variations, so more of your hours go to work that needs a designer's eye.Our brands run on daily volume: 12–15 reels, 3–5 statics and stories every day, per brand. The gap we need closed is speed with judgement. You turn a strategic brief into on-brand, research-led visuals fast, and you build the templates, prompt libraries and systems that make the next hundred assets faster still. You are the person who knows which tool to use, when AI helps, and when it should be switched off. What You'll DesignOur portfolio spans very different categories. You must be able to switch registers in the same day, from quiet luxury to high-energy F&B.
- Luxury real estate (restrained, HNWI, "quiet power"): brand systems, brand bibles, listing creative, print
- Aesthetic medicine & clinics (clinical trust, premium, regulated): Meta/TikTok/Snapchat ads, before/after frameworks, rebrands
- Skincare & beauty (product-led, ingredient-driven): product renders, packshots, social, launch campaigns
- Wellness & spa (calm, sensory, local): seasonal campaigns, offers, booking funnels
- Restaurants & F&B (appetite-driven, high volume): menu design, food creative, daily social, branch launches
- Construction & B2B (corporate, credible): company profiles, CEO statements, decks, signage
- Apps & fintech (clean, product UI): brand identity, website and app UI, launch assets
- Automotive (performance, detail): YouTube thumbnails, social, campaign key visuals
- Events & exhibitions (spatial, experiential): booth graphics, event identity, same-week coverage assets
- Kids' animated IP (character-led, 3D): style frames, character sheets, key artMost work is bilingual. Arabic typography must be as sharp as the English, never an afterthought.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign (the core)
- Design social statics, carousels, stories, ad creative, decks, company profiles, menus, print and event graphics across all accounts
- Build and extend brand identities: logos, colour systems, type pairings, brand guidelines
- Design bilingual (English/Arabic) layouts with equal typographic quality in both
- Prepare print-ready and platform-ready files to spec, every timeAI acceleration (the multiplier)
- Use AI to speed up every stage: moodboards, concept exploration, image generation and editing, background removal, upscaling, extensions, mock-ups and ad variations
- Turn one approved key visual into a full set of sizes, formats and A/B variants in a fraction of the usual time
- Build reusable assets per client: templates, prompt libraries, style references and brand-locked presets
- Spot repetitive steps in our creative workflow and propose or build automations to remove themCollaboration
- Work from strategic briefs set by account managers and the Creative Director; ask sharp questions before designing
- Hand clean files and templates to the production team for motion, video and 3D
- Document your workflows so others on the team can reuse themAI Capability We ExpectTools change monthly; judgement doesn't. We hire for workflow fluency, not a logo list.
- Image generation: produce on-brand imagery that survives a close look (hands, text, product accuracy). E.g. Midjourney, Flux, Firefly, Higgsfield, Ideogram
- Image editing: generative fill, extend, relight, retouch, swap backgrounds without visible seams. E.g. Photoshop AI, Firefly, Canva AI
- Consistency: keep characters, products and brand style stable across a whole campaign. E.g. style references, character refs, LoRA-style training
- Scaling & resizing: one master → every size and format in minutes. E.g. Canva Magic Resize, Figma plugins, Photoshop actions
- Image-to-video: animate statics into short motion for reels and ads. E.g. Runway, Kling, Higgsfield
- Copy & ideation: use LLMs to explore concepts, headlines and briefs, then edit with taste. E.g. Claude, ChatGPT
- Automation: remove repeat steps such as batch exports, template filling and file naming. E.g. Canva bulk create, Figma variables, simple Zapier/Make flowsThe non-negotiable: you can tell when AI output is not good enough, and you fix it by hand rather than ship it.Required Experience And Skills
- 3–5 years as a graphic designer, agency side preferred, across several brands at once
- A portfolio showing strong craft: typography, grids, colour, hierarchy, not just pretty images
- At least 1 year using AI tools in real client production, with before/after proof of time saved
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; strong in Figma and Canva (our team templates live there)
- Arabic and English layout experience; you know RTL type, kashida and bilingual hierarchy
- Comfortable designing for paid social specs: Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube
- Can hold 5+ accounts in parallel without missing deadlines or file standards
- Clear written English; you can explain a design decision in one sentenceNice To Have
- Basic motion in After Effects or CapCut
- Packaging, menu or print production experience
- Exposure to UI design for websites and apps
- Interest in consumer psychology and why people choose one brand over another
- Experience in the GCC market across luxury, F&B or healthcareHow Success Is Measured
- First 30 days: Learn every brand's guidelines; deliver daily design for assigned accounts; audit the current workflow and flag the 3 slowest steps
- Days 31–60: A template kit and prompt library live for each priority brand; turnaround on standard statics visibly cut
- Days 61–90: Full account load at volume; at least one documented AI workflow adopted by the wider teamOngoing measures: first-round approval rate, turnaround time per asset, revision count, and zero brand-guideline breaches.Working Rules
- Brief first, pixels second. If the brief is unclear, you ask before you design
- AI output is a draft, never a deliverable, until a designer has checked it
- No client-identifiable material goes into public AI tools without approval
- Every asset follows the client's brand system; no personal style drift
- You work through account managers and the Creative Director, not directly with business owners
- Files are named, versioned and stored to the team standard
