80Twenty is a boutique marketing recruitment agency that connects high-growth companies with exceptional candidates.Graphic Designer – Contract (Sports & Entertainment) | Immediate Start Through End of YearWe're partnering with an exciting professional sports and entertainment organization to find a Graphic Designer for a contract role through the end of the year (3 months), with real room for exposure and growth. With a Senior team member moving into a new role in a new location, the team is looking to fill the gap while also supporting the designers already in place. This is a contract hire to help make that transition smooth, with the opportunity to continue on or take on more freelance projects going forward. Reporting to the CMO in a highly collaborative, friendly, and lean and dynamic team, you'll:What You'll DoCreate content for sporting event announcements and team/league communicationsDesign creative for the organization's stadium - a major venue that hosts big events year-roundSupport the corporate partnerships team with sponsor-facing creativeOwn and build out templates for a specific brand - not just editing existing files, but improving how the templates themselves workDig into the project portal to identify and take on smaller, self-contained projectsCollaborate closely with the design team to keep work consistent across channelsStay aware of design trends, typography, and the broader creative landscapeWhat We're Looking ForGenuine curiosity about the work itself - no need to be a sports fan, just excited to solve creative problemsA portfolio that shows range across illustrative design, typography, print, and digitalComfort in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, and KeynoteA self-starter who asks good questions, thinks like a problem-solver, and can work somewhat independently once ramped up Someone with a high ceiling: a great collaborator who's eager to grow, whether more junior and hungry or more experienced and able to hit the ground running2+ years of graphic design experience; a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field is a plus but not required with the right portfolioLogisticsOnsite 4 days/week (Monday–Thursday) in downtown Chicago, with some flexibility for scheduling needs - or fully remote for more experienced candidates, with freelance/remote setups able to flex to one day/week onsiteContract through the end of the year, with potential to extend or convert based on how things goReady to start ASAPSound like a fit?
