Apply & track with Apply EdgeGraphic Designer — San Francisco, CAA multi-disciplinary design firm focused on visual communication through graphic design, web design, environmental graphics, and architectural signage is currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join its San Francisco studio. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of professional graphic design experience and a strong interest in branding, environmental graphics, and visual communication.This is an opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team on creative projects spanning graphic design, branded environments, signage, wayfinding, and other visual communication initiatives. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful designer with a strong eye for typography, composition, color, and visual storytelling who is excited to learn and grow within a design-focused studio.
Responsibilities
Support project teams through the development and delivery of creative concepts, design development, and documentation.Develop graphic concepts, layouts, presentations, and visual assets under the direction of senior designers.Assist with branding, environmental graphics, signage, wayfinding, and other visual communication projects.Participate in project coordination and collaborate with designers, architects, interior designers, and other consultants.Prepare presentations, design studies, material palettes, and client-facing graphics.Assist with design documentation and production of project deliverables.Participate in project meetings and contribute to creative discussions and design reviews.Manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.Stay current with design trends, materials, technologies, and visual communication practices.
Requirements
1–2 years of professional graphic design experience; experience in environmental graphics, branding, signage, or interiors is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, imagery, and visual hierarchy.Ability to communicate creative ideas through strong visual and verbal communication skills.Strong 2-D design and conceptual development skills.Interest in applying graphic design within physical and built environments.Ability to collaborate effectively in a studio environment while also working independently.Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced creative environment.High passion for design, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.Familiarity with CAD, 3D visualization, or other design software is a plus.A strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, branding, typography, layout, and/or environmental graphic work.
