GRC consultant (Governance and Compliance focused)Abu Dhabi | 3-Month Contract | Onsite, 5 Days/Week We're supporting an established investment holding group in Abu Dhabi in the search for an Interim Assistant Manager consultant. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting the Governance & Compliance function across multiple operational subsidiaries. Not an Enterprise Risk Management position.Key Responsibilities :Draft and maintain governance policy documentation, from initial draft through stakeholder sign-off, not just review of existing documents.Build and maintain compliance obligation mapping and compliance registersDevelop and maintain Delegation of Authority (DOA) documentation and governance frameworks.Support governance and compliance activities across multiple operational subsidiaries in different sectors, working independently with minimal onboarding.Coordinate with internal and external teamsAbout You :5–6 years' experience in Governance & Compliance, with policy drafting and compliance-register work as the core of your day-to-day , not Internal Audit, ERM, or financial crime compliance as your primary specialism.Proven, hands-on experience drafting governance policy from a blank page and able to describe specific documents you've authored.Comfortable discussing and reading ERM outputs (risk registers, risk appetite) without needing to own or design them ; general risk literacy is expected, ERM specialism is not.Experience working across multiple legal entities or subsidiaries within one group (not multiple separate clients/engagements).Strong stakeholder management, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.Available to start onsite in Abu Dhabi by 15 September, and comfortable with a fixed 3-month contract.Preferred :Consulting background in Governance & Compliance (as distinct from Internal Audit, ICFR/SOX testing, or Risk Advisory service lines).Experience across group/holding companies with diversified operational subsidiaries.ADGM or UAE corporate governance exposure.Not Required / Not the Focus : (Please note before applying)AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions screening, or other regulated financial institution compliance experienceEnterprise Risk Management ownership, risk appetite/framework design, or RCSA/KRI-building experienceInternal Audit execution (control testing, TOD/TOE, SOX 404) , this role coordinates with Internal Audit, it doesn't perform audits.IT/cyber security governance (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2) , this is corporate governance & compliance, not technology risk.If your job profile matches the criteria and you are interested, hit the Apply button!
