The Groomer will perform daily grooming services for companion animals, including bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, nail care, ear cleaning, and basic coat maintenance according to clinic standards and client instructions. The role involves assessing each animal’s coat and skin condition, identifying any visible issues, and communicating observations to veterinary staff when necessary. The Groomer will maintain a clean, safe, and stress-minimized grooming environment, follow hygiene and infection-control protocols, and ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Responsibilities also include scheduling and confirming grooming appointments, providing clear information to clients about grooming services and aftercare, and collaborating with veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff to support overall patient care and client satisfaction.QualificationsProfessional pet grooming skills, including bathing, brushing, coat trimming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning for dogs and cats.Knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and stress-reduction methods to ensure safe, humane grooming.Ability to recognize basic skin, coat, and hygiene issues and to communicate observations clearly to veterinary team members.Strong client service skills, including clear communication, empathy, and the ability to explain grooming options and aftercare.Attention to detail and adherence to hygiene, safety, and infection-control standards in a clinical environment.Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and handle animals of various sizes, and operate grooming equipment safely.Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, pet salon, or similar grooming setting is highly beneficial.Basic record-keeping and time-management skills to manage appointments and maintain grooming logs.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary veterinary team and follow established clinic protocols.
