Ground Operations Safety Officer

Ground Ops Safety Officer is directly reporting to Director of Safety.Duties & Responsibilities: -1) Responsible to ensure the Ground Operations manual meets the safety standards and regulations as per GACA and IOSA standards.2) Responsible to ensure all maintenance employee strictly adhere to safety SOPs documented within the maintenance manual.3) Responsible for ensuring that ramp safety procedures are strictly adhered by all maintenance staff assigned airside.4) Responsible to ensure ground operations related incidents and accidents are reported to GACA and AIB within 48 hours of the occurrence.5) Responsible to ensure all documents and reports pertaining to ground operations incidents are uploaded to the safety system regularly without delays.6) Responsible to investigate ground operations safety incidents, accidents and any special occurrences during the flight.7) Responsible to conduct safety risk assessment against all ground operations hazard reports and advise the ground operations department with recommendations and corrective actions.8) Determine and analyze hazardous conditions and assign risk assessment codes.9) Responsible to evaluate hazardous condition thru safety observations/walk arounds.10) Monitory corrective actions, recommend preventive measures, and analyze safety trends.11) Conduct ground operations Inspections and assessments to identify ground operations safety deficiencies.12) Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken at the root-cause levels on all inspection nonconformities and findings in an acceptable manner and within reasonable time frames.13) Gather data from regular checks, compile, analyze and summarize to identify trends and present to VP Safety & Quality.14) Prepare reports and analyze monthly ramp statistics for aircraft damage, incidents, etc.15) Produce quarterly trends reports for the Safety Action Group.16) Prepare and conduct safety awareness programs to enhance staff awareness and prevention of aircraft incidents and accidents.17) Prepare and disseminate ground operations safety memo and bulletin.18) Responsible for the implementation of safety culture and housekeeping that ensures efficient and safe ground operations at the home base and the outstations.19) Perform any other task (s) as assigned by the VP Safety & Quality.Qualification & Requirements: -1) Educated in a minimum of bachelor's degree level in a related field2) With 3 years of experience as ground operation safety officer.3) Any other certificate related to aviation safety4) Must be able to work independently with a diverse and multicultural team5) PC Literate and well versed in MS Office Suite / Google office applications6) Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic would be anadvantage
