About the Role Our client is a technology company with a multi-entity, international group structure, operating across multiple jurisdictions. This is a newly created, hands-on position based in Singapore, reporting to the Finance Manager. The Group Accountant will take ownership of the accounting and month-end close for assigned entities, as well as the preparation of group consolidation, financial reporting, and audit schedules. This role offers a strong platform for a detail-oriented finance professional to make a tangible impact within a growing, cross-border organisation. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation and financial reports, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and consolidation adjustments Own the end-to-end month-end close for assigned entities, covering journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations Coordinate entity reporting submissions, investigate variances, and follow up on outstanding items to ensure the group close timetable is met Prepare group and entity-level financial statements, statutory reporting schedules, and supporting analyses for Finance Manager review Analyse financial results, resolve routine discrepancies, and escalate material or judgemental accounting matters appropriately Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation; respond to auditor queries and track completion of assigned audit requests Compile financial information and schedules required for tax compliance, coordinating with internal teams and external advisers Support finance systems and process improvement initiatives, including automation projects, reporting templates, and reconciliation procedures Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with at least five years of relevant experience; CPA/CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred Proven hands-on experience preparing entity-level closes, group consolidation, and financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment Sound knowledge of IFRS, including intercompany accounting, eliminations, and foreign currency translation Experience preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor queries, and supporting an audit through to completion Strong organisational skills with the ability to independently prepare work for review, investigate discrepancies, and meet deadlines; proficiency in Excel and accounting systems is essential Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, to effectively coordinate with group teams and service providers across different jurisdictions Prior experience in a technology sector or international group environment, combining audit and in-house finance backgrounds (is a bonus)If you are passionate about technology and meet the above requirements, please don't hesitate to apply.
