GROUP COMMERCIAL MANAGERLanka Shipping & Logistics (Pvt) LtdAre you ready to drive growth, own the numbers and make a real impact?Lanka Shipping & Logistics (Pvt) Ltd (LSL) is looking for a dynamic, commercially aggressive and results-driven Group Commercial Manager to join our leadership team and spearhead the next phase of our growth.This is a high-impact Group-level position for a shipping and logistics professional who knows the industry, understands where the business is going, and most importantly knows how to turn opportunities into revenue and revenue into profit.THIS IS MORE THAN A SALES ROLE.As Group Commercial Manager, you will work directly alongside the CEO and Group Operations General Manager, playing a key role in shaping and executing the Group's commercial strategy.You will have clear ownership of commercial performance, budgets, revenue growth and profitability across the Group.We are looking for someone who doesn't wait for business to come to them you go after it.Candidate ProfileOwn and deliver the Group's commercial budgets, revenue and profitability targets.Drive aggressive and sustainable business growth across LSL's core businesses.Develop and execute the Group's commercial strategy and business development plans.Identify, pursue and convert new customers, principals, strategic accounts and market opportunities.Grow LSL's presence in Ship Agency & Marine Services, with particular focus on high-value and recurring maritime business.Develop business across liner/NVOCC and freight forwarding segments.Build and strengthen relationships with shipping lines, ship owners, ship managers, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, overseas agents and other key industry stakeholders.Identify opportunities for cross-selling and integrated Group solutions across LSL's business units.Lead commercial negotiations, proposals, tenders and strategic business opportunities.Work closely with Operations to ensure that commercial promises translate into operationally deliverable and profitable business.Monitor market trends, competitors and industry developments and turn market intelligence into commercial opportunities.Establish clear commercial KPIs and ensure consistent performance against budget.Support the CEO in evaluating new markets, new services, strategic partnerships and expansion opportunities.Build a strong commercial culture focused on accountability, speed, customer value and profitability.Preferred Qualifications10+ YEARS OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCEStrong experience within the shipping and logistics industry is essential.SHIP AGENCY & MARINE SERVICES EXPERIENCEStrong practical knowledge and experience in Ship Agency and Marine Services is a key requirement.LINER / NVOCC & FREIGHT FORWARDINGSolid exposure to liner/NVOCC and freight forwarding will be essential to succeeding in this Group-level role.A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification is required.Qualifications in Shipping, Logistics, Business, Marketing, Management or a related discipline will be an advantage.INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURESri Lankan industry experience is required.Overseas work experience will be a distinct advantage, particularly exposure to international shipping, logistics or maritime markets.How to Apply :If you are a confident, well organized, and results oriented professional who meets the above requirements, Please send your updated CV to:recruitment@lankaship.lk
