We are an organisation committed to embracing and developing a diverse workforce so that they develop to realise their full potential, and provide you with the ability to make an impact with the next generation of mineral exploration drilling company.With our footprint continuing to expand we are looking for a dedicated and professional Group Finance ManagerPosition: Group Finance Manager Location: Dubai, UAEThe Group Finance Manager supports the Group Financial Controller across monthly reporting, The Group Finance Manager’s key responsibility is to deliver the Group's annual audit and half-year review, and to support the regional finance teams in completing their local statutory audits. The role also leads the Group's internal audit function and acts as a key point of continuity for the Group finance function, deputizing for the Group Financial Controller during the end-of-month process.Job Requirements and Responsibilities External Audit/ Annual Report :Lead the Group external Year End Audit and Half Year Review, acting as main point of contact with external auditors.Prepare accounting papers and present to the Audit Committee papers. Assist in the preparation of the Audit Committee meeting agendas and minutes. Responsible for briefing the Audit Committee on upcoming developments.Responsible for the Annual and Half Year Report process with respect to the financial statements.Provide support to Investor Relations team in respect of the announcements and presentation materials.Accountable for meeting subsidiary statutory audit deadlines.Monitor audit fee costs and responsible for preparing the annual budget for audit and accountingWork with the Syscohada Manager to ensure preparation of OHADA compliant financial reports in West and Central Africa.Key point of contact on accounting treatment for non-standard transactions/ matters. Internal AuditLead the Group internal audit function, including development and delivery of a risk-based annual internal audit plan, informed by findings raised through the Group external audit, and approved by the Audit Committee.Work with the Group Sustainability and Risk Manager to identify, document, and maintain the Group's material controls, and coordinate design and operating effectiveness testing throughout the year to support the Board's annual declaration under Provision 29 of the UK Corporate Governance Code.Report to the Board and Audit Committee on testing status, deficiencies, and remediation plans ahead of the annual declaration, and liaise with external auditors and other assurance providers on the scope, timing, and results of material controls testing. Month end reporting :Act as substitute for the Group Financial Controller for the end-of-month (EOM) process.Manage the VAT accounting and reporting processes in conjunction with the Group Tax ManagerReview deferred tax calculations and support Group Tax Manager with the group tax reconciliations.Conduct analysis of working capital trends, comparing against budget and forecast KPIs. Risk Management: Governance, Compliance & Liquidations :Risk Management: Governance, Compliance & LiquidationsProvide ad hoc compliance and governance support as required.Responsible for closure audits and winding up procedures for subsidiaries earmarked for liquidation. Personal and Team DevelopmentPersonal and Team DevelopmentSet team KPIs and conduct half-yearly performance reviews.
