Apply & track with Apply EdgeGroup Financial Controller | Hybrid (2 days office / 3 days home) | £90k-£120k | Permanent | LancashireA growing, PE-backed UK business is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller as part of its continued growth and development.This is a senior, hands-on finance role with responsibility for Group financial control, reporting and governance across a multi-entity organisation. You’ll work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, while also taking ownership of the detail across Group reporting, consolidation, statutory accounts and technical accounting.The roleYou will take ownership of the Group's financial control environment, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and strong financial governance across the business.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the monthly Group consolidation and Group reporting processOwnership of Group statutory accounts and year-end reportingManaging the annual audit process and relationships with external auditorsMaintaining strong balance sheet integrity and financial controlsOverseeing intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entitiesPreparing and managing cashflow forecasts and supporting treasury activityProviding technical accounting guidance and resolving complex accounting issuesSupporting tax compliance and working with external advisersPreparing reporting for senior leadership, investors and other key stakeholdersSupporting financial reporting requirements associated with the Group's funding arrangementsIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and systemsSupporting acquisitions, integration and other finance projects as the business continues to growYou'll ideally have:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Significant experience across Group financial control and reportingStrong experience across consolidation, statutory accounts and Group reportingGood technical accounting knowledge, ideally across UK GAAP and IFRSExperience managing external auditsStrong understanding of balance sheet controls, intercompany and financial governanceExperience across cashflow forecasting and treasuryIdeally, experience within a PE-backed, acquisitive or fast-growing environmentConfidence working with CFOs, auditors, investors and senior stakeholdersA practical approach and willingness to get into the detail rather than simply oversee from a distanceWhat's on offer?£90,000–£120,000 salaryHybrid workingSenior position within a growing and evolving GroupDirect exposure to the CFO and senior leadership teamOpportunity to play a key role in strengthening and developing the Group finance functionBroad remit covering technical finance, reporting, controls and strategic projects
