Our ClientMackie Myers has partnered with a private equity-backed, multi-site healthcare business to appoint a Group Financial Controller.The RoleReporting to the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller will take ownership of group reporting, external audit, technical accounting and financial controls across a complex, multi-site organisation.This is a high-profile role with significant exposure to senior leadership, investors and key external stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative approach, ensuring robust financial governance while supporting the wider business as it continues to grow.Main DutiesLead the monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.Drive improvements to month-end reporting, shortening reporting timelines, enhancing financial insight and embedding best practice processes across the finance function.Own the year-end and external audit process, acting as a key contact for auditors and senior stakeholders.Drive a strong financial control environment across the business, ensuring policies and procedures are fit for purpose.Act as the subject matter expert for technical accounting matters, including IFRS compliance and accounting policy development.Oversee reporting, controls and governance across multiple business units and international entities.Support lender, shareholder and Board reporting requirements.Partner with finance and operational leaders to improve reporting, processes and systems.Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing financial control team.The Successful CandidateACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS.Proven experience leading group reporting and year-end audit processes within a complex, multi-site environment.Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and risk management.Experience operating within a private equity-backed and/or regulated business would be advantageous.Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset.Systems and finance transformation experience would be beneficial.What's on Offer?£125,000 base salary.20% annual bonus.£5,000 car allowance.Significant exposure to executive leadership and investors.Opportunity to join a growing PE-backed healthcare business at an exciting stage of its journey.Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity and InclusionWe believe that diverse teams drive innovation and success.
