Group Finance Controller | London (hybrid working, 2 days in office) | £80,000 - £90,000 + 10% bonus | Permanent | Fast-growth Consumer Brand (Sports sector)This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Group Finance Controller to join a well-renowned , purpose-led consumer brand that operates in the sports industry. Based in their London Headquarters (2 days in the office), this is a newly created role due to growth. The business is highly acquisitive and is growing significantly internationally; they expect to grow by 30% in the next few years.Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, you will be a technically strong accountant overseeing the management accounts, consolidation, audit and statutory compliance across 15 entities based both in the UK and internationally. You will work closely with the senior finance leadership team and external tax and legal advisers, and play a key role in integrating newly acquired businesses as the group expands into new markets, including the US.Responsibilities include:Leading the external audit process from planning to completion, acting as first point of contact for audit queriesManaging quarterly group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and FX translationLeading the month-end and management accounts preparation across UK and international entities, driving accuracy and timelinessSupporting group compliance and insurance requirements, working closely with external advisersManaging group tax compliance including working closely with external advisorsPlaying a lead in the integration of newly acquired entities as well as supporting with technical M&A due diligenceMentoring and supervising a small teamSkill set requiredACA/CA Qualified Accountant from Big 4 or Top 103+ years Post Qualified Experience in industryExperience working in a broad finance role where you have been leading the audit, management accounts and compliance for the groupUS GAAP and US sales tax knowledge is strongly preferredConsumer industry knowledge or experience working in a multi-site/entity group is preferredExperience working for a high-growth business is strongly preferredYou will need to be a proactive, direct and personable individual who can drive deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentIn return for your hard work and aptitude, this company offers an exciting, purpose-led and fast-moving culture, with exposure to senior leadership and acquisitions.
