Group Financial ControllerProfessional Services £150k + bonus/equity London The opportunity Finatal have partnered with a fast-growing Professional Services business based in central London. The business is c.2 years away from an exit and they need a Group Financial Controller to come on board and report directly to the CFO. The business is backed by a reputable private equity firm, and the role will also require interfacing with the fund.To be successful in this role, you would have operated in a PE-backed business that is over £150m t/o and have previously been reporting directly to the CFO. This is a sector agnostic position, and the client is open to various backgrounds to bring a different skillset.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation across international entitiesDeliver high-quality management and statutory reporting packsEnsure accuracy of multi-currency consolidation and intercompany eliminationsMaintain strong control over balance sheet integrity and group-level reconciliationsAct as Group lead on technical accounting matters, particularly IFRSEnsure consistency of accounting policies across all entitiesSupport statutory reporting requirements across jurisdictionsLead audit processes at group level and coordinate with local finance teamsElevate reporting quality, structure, and discipline across the teamServe as the primary point of escalation for group accounting issuesSupport reporting and analysis aligned to recurring-revenue and asset rental modelsProvide reporting clarity that supports investor and PE stakeholder requirementsSupport finance integration of acquisitions when requiredContribute to ensuring consistent reporting frameworks across new entitiesKey Skills & ExperienceACA qualified (or equivalent)Strong experience in private equity-backed businessesSignificant experience in multi-entity, multi-currency global consolidationsDeep working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
