Group General Counsel📍 Dubai, UAEOn-siteFull-timeReports to Group CEOAbout the roleOur Client is seeking a Group General Counsel to lead its Group Legal function and serve as principal legal advisor to the Group CEO and Board. You'll safeguard the company and its subsidiaries against legal exposure while enabling the group's strategic and commercial ambitions across the sector.What you'll ownFormulate and lead the Group Legal strategy in line with corporate objectivesDirect legal policies, procedures and controls across the groupBuild and own a comprehensive contract-management framework across the full contract lifecycleManage relationships with regulators and monitor evolving local & international lawLead dispute resolution, settlements and litigation, with external counsel where neededAdvise the Board and Group CEO on major legal matters, risks and ongoing litigationProvide proactive counsel on governance, compliance and key strategic decisionsLead, mentor and develop the Group Legal teamWhat you'll bring12+ years' legal experience, with 7+ years in a legal counsel role or equivalentDeep knowledge of corporate, capital markets, transportation, labour, data protection & anti-corruption lawExperience with public-listed companies and/or the transport/mobility sector (UAE/GCC a strong plus)Bachelor's Degree in Law (MBA/postgraduate a plus)Licensed by the Legal Affairs Department, Government of Dubai or by a recognised law society
