AI must be integral to how you research, develop concepts, evaluate options, direct your team, and learn from customers.You will combine emerging technology with deep expertise in jewelry, craftsmanship, and consumer taste to decide what we should make next. Your mandateBuild a studio where AI is embedded throughout the creative workflow: Discover trends → develop concepts → generate variations → curate designs → engineer and sample → test → refine and scale.You will establish how this process works across our U.S. and India teams, connecting creative direction with the group’s existing design and manufacturing capabilities.Your industry experience will be essential at every decision point. You must know which AI-generated ideas have originality, which fit a particular brand, which can be manufactured beautifully, and which have a credible commercial opportunity. Four brands. What you will leadCreate an AI-powered trend intelligence engineDevelop new ways to identify emerging demand by connecting signals from search, social media, runway, red carpet, bridal culture, competitor launches, customer feedback, and sales performance.Use AI to synthesize these inputs, uncover patterns, and surface opportunities earlier. Apply your experience to distinguish meaningful shifts from short-lived noise and turn the strongest signals into specific design briefs.Make AI part of everyday design developmentPersonally use—and lead the team in using—generative image tools, AI-assisted research, rendering, and design exploration throughout the working day.Build workflows that move rapidly from an initial direction to a broad range of silhouettes, stone combinations, settings, proportions, and collection concepts. Establish repeatable methods that the wider team can use consistently.Bring expert judgment to selection and refinementCurate the strongest concepts against clear criteria: brand fit, originality, customer appeal, wearability, manufacturability, price, and commercial potential.Know when an attractive image represents a compelling piece of jewelry—and when its construction, proportions, or economics need substantial work.Translate a trend differently for a $300 personalized gift and a $10,000 bridal piece.Connect AI exploration with production expertiseLead the New York team and direct design priorities across the India design organization. Partner with the Technical Design Lead, CAD designers, and manufacturing teams to turn selected concepts into technically sound CAD and samples.Create a dependable handoff between AI-generated imagery and production development, with rigorous review of settings, stone tolerances, metal weight, durability, and cost.Build a continuous learning loopUse AI-assisted analysis of sell-through, search behavior, customer response, and channel performance to improve design decisions.Test promising concepts, refine the assortment, and expand successful collections. Feed what you learn back into trend research and future briefs.Keep improving how the studio worksActively discover and test new tools. Measure their contribution to creative quality, development speed, and team productivity, and adopt those that deliver meaningful improvements.Set clear standards for responsible tool use, protection of proprietary designs, and review of generated work. What you bringDemonstrated AI fluency is essentialYou should be able to show us:Extensive current use of AI in your own creative work, including research, concepting, visual development, and refinement.Workflows you have built or substantially improved using AI, with clear examples of the process and its results.Innovative approaches to trend discovery, including how you combine multiple sources of information to identify opportunities.Strong creative direction of generative tools: the ability to guide, iterate, critique, and curate outputs toward a specific commercial brief.A practical understanding of AI’s limitations, including unreliable research, derivative concepts, and jewelry imagery that cannot translate directly into production.The ability to teach and lead others, making effective AI use a daily team capability.We expect concrete examples of your work, your decisions, and the improvements you achieved. Deep jewelry expertise is equally important12+ years in fine jewelry design, including 5+ years leading design teams.A portfolio of commercially successful collections, with a clear explanation of your contribution and results.Deep knowledge of bridal and fashion jewelry, diamond shapes and cuts, settings, precious metals, and gemstones.Experience with lab-grown diamonds and an understanding of natural diamonds and moissanite.Experience designing across multiple brands, customer segments, and price points.Hands-on proficiency with jewelry CAD tools such as Matrix, Rhino, or ZBrush, supported by strong manufacturing knowledge.Experience working with international production teams; experience with India is especially valuable.Strong understanding of the U.S. jewelry consumer and how product needs differ across e-commerce, stores, marketplaces, live commerce, and retail partners. What success looks likeIn your first 90 days, you will:Assess each brand’s assortment, customer, sales performance, and existing design process.Establish clear design identities and creative priorities for the portfolio.Put an initial AI-powered trend research and concept development workflow into daily use across both locations.Move a first capsule collection through the new workflow, from trend insight to curated concepts, CAD, and samples, ready for customer testing.Over your first year, you will deliver:A functioning AI-native studio with measurable adoption across the team.Faster development from trend discovery to sample.Stronger commercial performance from new designs.Clearer differentiation between brands.Greater creative exploration and higher-quality output per designer.
