We develop, manufacture and distribute fashion products for major international retailers while also building a growing portfolio of owned and licensed brands.We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Group Head of Finance to take ownership of financial management, reporting, controls and planning across the group.This is not simply an accounting or compliance position. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and senior management, providing the financial information, discipline and commercial insight required to support the group’s continued growth.For an exceptional performer, the role offers a defined opportunity to progress to Group CFO within approximately 12–18 months, subject to capability and achievement of agreed objectives.Key responsibilitiesGroup reporting and financial controlLead the finance and accounts function across the group.Establish accurate consolidated reporting covering Bangladesh, the UK and Denmark.Deliver timely monthly management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations and performance reports.Ensure the integrity and completeness of all financial information.Develop and maintain effective financial policies, controls and approval procedures.Coordinate statutory accounts, external audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance with local advisers.Cash flow and working capitalPrepare and maintain a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast.Manage receivables, payables, inventory exposure and supplier-payment planning.Strengthen customer credit control and ensure overdue balances are actively managed.Monitor cash requirements across different companies and currencies.Manage banking relationships, foreign-exchange exposure, trade finance and letters of credit.Commercial financeProduce budgets, forecasts and management dashboards for the CEO.Analyse profitability by customer, brand, product, order and market.Review product costing, gross margins, overheads and operational expenditure.Identify financial risks, cost-saving opportunities and areas of margin improvement.Support commercial negotiations and major investment decisions with clear financial analysis.Challenge operational and commercial teams constructively using reliable data.Leadership and systemsLead, train and develop the Bangladesh finance team.Define clear responsibilities, deadlines and performance standards across the department.Improve accounting systems, reporting processes and spreadsheet controls.Ensure financial data reconciles across accounting, merchandising, inventory and commercial systems.Build a finance function capable of operating effectively without continuous CEO involvement.Candidate profileThe ideal candidate will have:At least 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.Significant experience in a senior position such as Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Director or Deputy CFO.Strong experience within export-oriented garments, textiles, manufacturing or international trading.A professional accounting qualification such as CA, CMA or ACCA.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, VAT, audit and internal controls.Practical experience with product costing, inventory, import/export transactions and working-capital management.Experience managing multi-company or international financial reporting.Advanced Excel and financial-modelling capabilities.Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.High personal integrity and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when necessary.Fluency in English and Bangla.Experience working with UK or European businesses, international accounting standards, ERP implementation or group consolidation would be a strong advantage.Progression to Group CFOProgression will be based on demonstrated results, including:Accurate and timely monthly management accounts.Reliable group-wide cash-flow forecasting.Clean receivable, payable, inventory and balance-sheet reconciliations.Effective group consolidation and financial controls.Clear profitability reporting by customer, brand and order.Successful management of audits, taxation and compliance.Development of a capable and accountable finance team.Meaningful contribution to funding, investment and strategic business decisions.How to applyPlease submit your CV together with:Current salaryExpected salaryNotice periodProfessional qualificationsA brief explanation of your experience in export-oriented garments, manufacturing or international group financePlease use the subject line: Application – Group Head of Finance.
