Group Investment Manager | Energy, Data Centres, PropertyThe OpportunityOur client is a well-capitalised, founder-led group expanding its investment capability across three genuinely different asset classes, from established real estate development through to large-scale battery storage and data centre infrastructure. This is a newly created, central seat within the Group's investment function, reporting into senior leadership, with real scope to shape how the function operates as it grows.This isn't a role confined to a single vertical. You'll be evaluating, structuring and executing investment decisions across a genuinely diverse asset base, and working closely with specialist teams across each part of the business.What You'll Be Doing:Investment Appraisal and ExecutionOwn and lead financial modelling and investment analysis across multiple asset classes, adapting your approach to each one rather than applying a single templateReview and stress-test junior team members' modelling, and be the one who can defend the assumptions directly to the Investment CommitteeCoordinate technical, legal and commercial inputs into due diligence, into a single investment casePrepare investment committee papers and board-level recommendationsTransaction LeadershipAct as a lead working-level point of contact on live transactions, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and capital raisingStructure and negotiate commercial terms alongside legal counsel and external advisorsOperate at pace in a fast-moving, founder-led environmentTeam LeadershipLine manage and develop junior analysts, including reviewing their modelling and written outputsHelp build the discipline and consistency of the investment function's processes as the team growsWhat We're Looking ForBackground in a fund, private equity, infrastructure investor, or investment banking environment, with genuine transaction execution experience, not just analytical supportProven ability to manage and develop junior team members, even from a small teamComfort operating autonomously, with minimal process scaffolding, in a fast-paced environmentStrong financial modelling and valuation capability, adaptable across asset classesExperience preparing investment committee and board-level materialsGenuine interest in working across sectors rather than staying within one asset class specialismBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or related; CFA, CA or MBA well regarded but not essentialTypically 6 to 10 years' experience, including at least 2 to 3 years carrying real transaction ownershipInterested candidates should apply directly or reach out confidentially to discuss further.
