Group IT Director

Position: Group IT Director (Transportation)Location: Doha, QatarCompensation: Competitive salary plus performance-based incentives and benefitsOverviewGateworth Group is working with a transportation company looking to hire a Group IT Director to assist with its global IT team and long-term digital transformation strategy. This individual will lead the group-wide business systems and technology initiatives and be responsible for all technology- and IT-related business units.The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar domain and have experience working with teams across multiple sites.Main ResponsibilitiesDefine and deliver the Group IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned to business growth and operational objectives.Lead enterprise technology programmes, including Oracle ERP/HCM, digital transformation, data and AI initiatives.Own IT governance, cybersecurity, risk, compliance and audit management across all entities.Oversee infrastructure, applications, business continuity and disaster recovery to support global operations.Lead technology due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions and business expansion initiatives.Manage and develop high-performing IT teams while providing leadership to regional and Business Unit technology functions.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.15+ years of IT experience, including significant leadership experience within a multi-country or multinational organisation.Proven track record delivering enterprise-wide IT strategies, technology transformations and operating model improvements.Strong experience with ERP and HCM platforms, ideally Oracle but not essential.Demonstrated experience managing large IT budgets, vendor relationships and technology investments.Strong understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, compliance and audit processes.Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence executive-level decision-making.ApplyApplicants meeting this criterion and looking for a progressive and challenging opportunity should submit an application via the apply link.
