We're Hiring | Group Lead - Indirect Procurement - DGMLocation: AhmedabadBusiness: Zydus MedTechFunction: ProcurementZydus MedTech is looking for a seasoned procurement leader to head the Group Indirect Procurement function and drive strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, cost optimization, governance, and procurement transformation across the organization.This is a high-impact leadership role that will partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and Corporate functions to support business growth, operational resilience, innovation, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Procurement LeadershipDevelop and execute enterprise-wide procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.Establish category strategies, sourcing roadmaps, and long-term procurement plans.Drive procurement governance, process standardization, and operational excellence.Build scalable procurement capabilities to support growth, expansion, and new product development.Deliver sustainable value through cost optimization, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation initiatives.New Product Development & R&D ProcurementLead sourcing support for Medical Device NPD programs across Orthopaedics, Cardiology, and Nephrology.Identify and develop domestic and global supplier networks for specialized materials, technologies, and services.Enable faster product development through strong supplier collaboration and sourcing agility.Manufacturing, Operations & Capex Procurement Lead procurement across:Manufacturing equipment and automation projectsCleanroom infrastructure and facility expansionUtilities, engineering, calibration, and validation servicesMRO and industrial consumablesDigitization and operational excellence initiativesSupplier Management & Commercial ExcellenceBuild strategic supplier partnerships and drive supplier performance improvement.Lead high-value commercial negotiations and contract management.Implement risk management and business continuity plans for critical categories.Drive supplier-led innovation, value engineering, and alternate sourcing strategies.Cost & Value ManagementDeliver annual savings and productivity targets.Leverage spend analytics and Total Cost of Ownership methodologies.Drive supplier consolidation, demand management, and working capital improvement initiatives.Leadership & Business PartnershipPartner with senior business leaders to influence strategic decisions.Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Drive procurement transformation and capability-building initiatives.EducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related disciplines)MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, or related field preferredExperience12 to 18 years of progressive procurement experienceStrong experience in indirect procurement and sourcing support for New Product DevelopmentMinimum 5 years of people leadership experienceProven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and procurement transformation
