Group Logistics Manager -International Trading & Distribution

We are currently seeking an experienced Group Logistics Manager to take ownership of its international logistics function.Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end sea, air and road freight operations, including FCL/LCL and multimodal shipments.- Coordinate international shipments across UK, Europe, USA, Africa and other global markets.- Oversee logistics requirements for Tanzania, Madagascar, Djibouti and other African markets.- Negotiate freight rates and manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies and customs/clearing agents.-Should be able to manage a substantial number of simultaneous international shipments while maintaining accuracy and control.- Oversee customs clearance, HS codes, import/export documentation and compliance.- Monitor shipments, ETAs, lead times, customs status and final deliveries.- Identify freight cost-saving opportunities, route alternatives and shipment consolidation opportunities.- Maintain accurate logistics records, documentation, shipment trackers and reporting.- Work closely with sales, commercial teams and senior management to provide accurate shipment and product arrival visibility.- Proactively resolve delays, customs issues and other logistics challenges.Candidate Profile- 5+ years of proven experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain or import/export operations with strong experience across sea ,air and road freight.- Strong hands-on experience across sea, air and road freight.- Experience managing international imports/exports, customs clearance and freight negotiations.- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, HS codes and international freight processes.- Experience managing multiple shipments across different countries and trade lanes.- Exposure to UK, Europe, USA and/or African markets is advantageous; East Africa experience is highly desirable.- Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.- Strong English, Excel and general IT skills; ERP/logistics systems experience is an advantage.Ideal CandidateA proactive, commercially minded and hands-on logistics professional who can take ownership of international shipments, control costs, strengthen logistics partnerships and build an efficient central logistics function for a growing international group.Nationality: Open to all📩 Interested candidates are invited to apply with their updated CV through the link here or share profiles at info@beyondprofiles.com------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Equal Opportunity Statement:Beyond Profiles is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates.
