Group Product Manager – Data Platform Sydney | Hybrid | Senior Product Leadership We’re partnering with an established Australian enterprise software business to appoint a Group Product Manager – Data Platform. The business is an established enterprise software company operating globally, with technology used by large enterprises and government organisations to process, investigate and make sense of large volumes of complex data. The organisation is investing heavily in Product leadership and the evolution of its core platform, making this a high-impact role with significant influence over future Product direction. This is a senior Product leadership role owning strategy and direction across a complex, large-scale Data Platform that sits at the core of multiple enterprise products and workflows. You’ll lead Product across capabilities spanning:Data ingestion from multiple sources and systemsHigh-volume data processingTransformation, enrichment and classificationWorkflow orchestrationPlatform services and reusable capabilitiesAPIs and integrationsScalability, reliability and performanceData access, search, review and visualisationPlatform modernisation and migrationThe Role You’ll own the Product strategy and roadmap for a significant part of the organisation’s core platform, working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Commercial and senior leadership. The role requires someone who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level — setting direction across multiple Product streams, leading Product Managers, shaping investment decisions and getting close enough to the technology to make strong platform decisions. A major part of the role will be evolving an established platform environment, including decisions around:What to moderniseWhat to consolidateWhat to retireWhat should become reusable platform capabilityWhere to invest for future scaleHow to balance technical debt with customer and commercial prioritiesWhat We’re Looking ForSenior Product leadership experience across complex Data Platforms or enterprise SaaSStrong understanding of data ingestion, processing, orchestration and platform capabilitiesExperience leading large-scale platform modernisation and transformationTechnically credible, with the ability to work closely with Engineering and ArchitectureStrong Product leadership and commercial thinking, with experience leading and developing Product ManagersExperience operating in high-volume, highly scalable data or platform environmentsStrong understanding of APIs, integrations and reusable platform servicesAbility to influence across Product, Engineering, Architecture and senior stakeholdersProven ability to connect technical platform investment to customer and commercial outcomesIf this sounds interesting and you’d like to learn more please contact Jacquie@theonset.com.au for more details
