CBOX Containers focuses on finding tailored container solutions to meet the specific requirements of each client.About the roleCBOX is building a centralised Group Finance function in Dubai to support its international operations and continued growth.We are looking for a hands-on Group Reporting Financial Controller who will take ownership of Group reporting, month-end close, consolidation, balance-sheet control and recurring Finance processes across the CBOX Group.This is not a reporting-only role. The successful candidate will also assume responsibility for a broad range of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly Finance activities currently performed within the Netherlands Finance function, including treasury administration, bank processing, intercompany reconciliations, statutory reporting coordination, payroll accounting, factoring reconciliations and financial control activities.The role requires someone who can operate comfortably in a developing environment, strengthen existing processes and controls, and support the transition of Finance activities from the Netherlands to the UAE.Key responsibilitiesGroup reporting and consolidationOwn the monthly Group closing calendar and coordinate timely closure across all entities.Prepare monthly consolidated management reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and working-capital reporting.Review entity-level financial results, identify unusual movements and ensure reporting accuracy.Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning.Prepare financial analysis and commentary for the Head of Finance, CEO and management team.Support statutory consolidation, annual audits and financial-statement preparation.Maintain consistent accounting policies and reporting standards across the Group.Financial control and month-end closeReview and reconcile balance-sheet accounts across Group entities.Ensure timely posting of accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, fixed assets, depreciation and foreign-currency revaluations.Review general-ledger accuracy and investigate incorrect, incomplete or unusual postings.Coordinate payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related balance-sheet accounts.Review intercompany transactions, balances, recharges and current accounts.Ensure that intercompany differences are resolved before month-end close.Maintain close documentation, reconciliation standards and supporting schedules.Treasury and bank accountingOversee daily bank processing and ensure bank statements are imported and posted accurately in AFAS.Review cash balances and support daily liquidity management across Group entities.Reconcile WorldFirst, foreign-currency accounts, Stripe and financing-related accounts.Support cash-flow reporting and ensure payment runs are reflected in liquidity forecasts.Coordinate with the Head of Finance and treasury resources on foreign-currency transactions and funding requirements.Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversightProvide financial-control oversight over AP and AR processes.Review supplier reconciliations, duplicate invoices, negative creditor balances and payment exceptions.Review debtor reconciliations, customer credit balances, refunds and credit notes.Support the AR Specialist with factoring, debtor insurance and Eurofactor reconciliations.Support the AP Specialist with payment-run controls, supplier master-data reviews and invoice-processing issues.Ensure open items, suspense accounts and zero-balance debtor and creditor positions are regularly cleared.Tax and statutory complianceCoordinate VAT, ICP and statistical filing requirements across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Australia and other relevant jurisdictions.Prepare and review supporting data for local tax advisers and external service providers.Monitor filing deadlines, payments, assessments and tax-authority balances.Ensure that local advisers receive complete and accurate information on time.Support UAE tax compliance and Group transfer-pricing requirements where required.Maintain oversight of outsourced filings while retaining central Finance accountability.Financing, loans and specialist processesReconcile Eurofactor financing and related transaction accounts.Support debtor-financing analyses and ensure financing positions agree with eligible receivables.Review interest calculations and quarterly loan postings.Monitor scheduled payments relating to financing arrangements and shareholder loans.Support overhead allocations and cost recharges between Group entities.Maintain accurate accounting for financing, factoring and intercompany arrangements.Process transition and improvementTake over recurring Finance activities currently performed by the Netherlands Finance team.Document processes, responsibilities, controls and backup arrangements.Support the migration of Finance activities from the Netherlands to the UAE.Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise processes.Strengthen internal controls, segregation of duties and review procedures.Support AFAS, PEAK, Elvy, Payt and reporting-system improvements.Contribute to the development of the Group Finance policy handbook and control framework.Ensure every critical process has an identified owner, reviewer and backup.Candidate profileBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, CMA or equivalent is preferred.At least 6–8 years of relevant experience in financial control, Group reporting, audit or multi-entity accounting.Strong experience with month-end close, consolidation, balance-sheet reconciliations and management reporting.Experience working across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions.Good understanding of VAT, intercompany accounting, payroll accounting, fixed assets and foreign-currency revaluation.Experience with treasury, factoring, working-capital management or cash-flow reporting is an advantage.Strong Excel skills; experience with AFAS, Power BI or similar ERP and reporting systems is preferred.Fluent English is required; Dutch language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.What we are looking forHands-on and will be expected to:Take ownership of the recurring Finance activities previously performed by Eric Remie.Establish a reliable and controlled monthly close across all Group entities.Improve the quality and timeliness of Group reporting and consolidation.Complete the transition of agreed Finance processes from the Netherlands to the UAE.Ensure that all balance-sheet, intercompany, treasury and statutory processes have clear ownership and backup.Reduce manual work, unresolved reconciliations and dependency on individual employees.Support the Head of Finance in building a scalable, centralised and strategically relevant Group Finance function.
