Inspired by the historic gymkhana clubs of India, the interiors feature rich timber panelling, brass detailing and Gymkhana’s signature palette of juniper green, red, cream and brass, creating a series of intimate dining spaces that reference the sporting and social heritage of these storied institutions.The PositionWe're looking for a Guest Relations Manager to build real relationships with guests and make sure every part of their visit to Gymkhana DIFC feels genuinely personal. You'll report into the Senior General Manager and need a strong, visible presence on the floor, especially during VIP visits and key services, working closely with reception, reservations and the management team so nothing about a guest's preferences or history gets lost between teams. It's as much about the guest in front of you tonight as the relationship you're building with them over months and years, from the pre-service briefing through to how you follow up long after they've left.Be a visible, confident presence on the floor throughout service, especially during VIP visits and key sittingsAct as a key point of contact for guest enquiries, feedback, requests and concerns, reading each guest's preferred level of interactionReview SevenRooms ahead of every service with reception, reservations and management, flagging VIPs, regulars, celebrations and special requests for the pre-service briefingBuild and maintain real relationships with VIPs, regulars, corporate clients and key stakeholders, including the hotel concierges, lifestyle managers, PAs and corporate bookers who refer guests your wayCoordinate VIP visits, celebrations and bespoke requests across the relevant teamsChampion a culture of genuine guest recognition, making sure meaningful guest notes and preferences are captured and shared across reception, reservations and the floorTake ownership of guest feedback and complaints, agreeing resolutions with management and approving service recovery gestures within your limits, escalating anything serious to the Senior General ManagerFollow up personally with guests after their visit, especially VIPs and regulars, and reconnect with anyone who hasn't been in for a whileMaintain relationships with key guests and referral partners beyond the restaurant itself, supporting future bookings and working with marketing and reservations on engagement initiativesCoach the wider team on guest engagement, recognition and service recovery, and lead by example on communication and attention to detailSupport the delivery of VIP visits, private events, activations and promotions, working closely with kitchen, bar, reception, reservations and managementMaintain discretion and confidentiality with guest information at all times, and help ensure compliance with company policy, health and safety and data protection standardsBring natural warmth, sharp emotional intelligence and real discretion, staying composed under pressure and thriving in a busy luxury hospitality environmentBenefits & CultureOur team is the most important part of our business, translating our passion for genuine hospitality to our guests every day.
