Handcraft Workshop Supervisor / Artisan Production Worker

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled, creative, and detail-oriented Handcraft Workshop Supervisor / Artisan Production Worker to oversee daily workshop activities and support the production of high-quality handmade products. The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, a passion for craftsmanship, and the ability to maintain quality standards while coordinating production and workshop operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily handcraft workshop and artisan production activities to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.Produce handmade products using appropriate tools, materials, techniques, and craftsmanship methods.Supervise and coordinate workshop staff, production schedules, and daily work assignments.Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality, consistency, appearance, and workmanship standards.Train and guide team members on crafting techniques, production procedures, tool usage, and safety requirements.Monitor production progress, material usage, product quality, and completion schedules.Identify and report production issues, material defects, equipment problems, or quality concerns.Maintain and operate workshop tools, machinery, equipment, and workstations safely.Manage materials, supplies, inventory, and storage to minimize waste and ensure availability.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.Assist with product development, prototypes, custom orders, special projects, and new designs where required.Coordinate with design, sales, purchasing, and other departments to meet customer and production requirements.Maintain accurate production records, material usage reports, quality checks, and inventory records.Identify opportunities to improve craftsmanship, production efficiency, product quality, and waste reduction.Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.Requirements & QualificationsPrevious experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Artisan, Craft Worker, Handcraft Production Worker, Maker, or similar role.Practical experience in handicrafts, woodworking, textiles, ceramics, leatherwork, jewellery, decorative products, or other craft-related production would be an advantage.Strong hands-on skills and excellent attention to detail.Good understanding of handcraft techniques, tools, materials, and production processes.Creative, patient, reliable, and quality-conscious.Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Ability to supervise and coordinate workshop staff effectively.Ability to work with production targets while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.Strong safety awareness and ability to use workshop tools and equipment correctly.Good organizational and time-management abilities.Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on work for extended periods.Experience in custom-made, luxury, traditional, or premium handcrafted products would be an advantage.Relevant technical, vocational, craft, design, or artisan qualifications would be an advantage.Flexible to work extended hours, weekends, or public holidays when required.Fluent English required; additional languages would be an advantage.
