Hands-On Development Lead (SaaS Workflow & Transactional Orchestration)

Role Overview We are seeking an elite, highly technical, and deeply hands-on Development Lead to champion the engineering, architecture, and deployment of our high-performance SaaS orchestration engine. In this role, you will be the absolute technical driver of a tightly knit, high-velocity team of 5. You will spend 75% of your time in the IDE, writing production-grade code, designing system architecture, and executing complex integrations, and 25% mentoring, removing blockers, and coordinating delivery for your team. Our platform serves as the single "digital rail" connecting complex transactional pipelines, legacy enterprise databases, multi-party scheduling workflows, and secure client-facing portals. You will lead the transition of our product from highly synchronized MVPs into a globally dominant, multi-tenant enterprise architecture. The Team Structure You will directly manage and code alongside an agile engineering cell consisting of: ● You (Development Lead): System Architect, hands-on master coder, and team guide. ● 1 Senior Full-Stack Engineer: Supporting core backend logic and scalable data flows. ● 1 Senior Front-End Engineer (UX/UI Focused): Driving pixel-perfect React executions and frictionless workflows. ● 1 Junior Full-Stack Engineer: Eager to learn, supporting end-to-end feature implementations. ● 1 Junior Backend Engineer: Focused on database optimization, API mappings, and serverless logic. Technical Stack & Modern Tooling Our core architecture is cutting-edge and designed for maximum scalability: ● Front-End: React, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, and modern state-management patterns. ● Backend & Serverless: AWS Serverless Architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, S3), Node.js. ● Data & Storage: DynamoDB (NoSQL single-table design) with secondary relational bridges (PostgreSQL/MySQL) for diverse analytical pipelines. ● AI-Assisted Development: We are an AI-First engineering shop. You and your team will leverage advanced generative AI tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, custom LLM agents) to supercharge throughput, automate boilerplate code, and conduct AI-assisted testing. ● DevOps & Hosting: Cloud-native AWS hosting, Terraform/Serverless Framework for IaC, and robust GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. Core Responsibilities 1. Hands-on Technical Execution (75%) ● Architect & Code: Architect robust, secure, and clean full-stack solutions. Write clean, well-documented, testable code across the React front-end and AWS serverless backend. ● System Integration & Mappings: Build high-reliability API "bridges" (REST/SOAP) to synchronize our SaaS engine with diverse, third-party legacy enterprise databases and capacity scheduling systems. ● State & Database Design: Master single-table design patterns in DynamoDB to support high-throughput transactional reads/writes, while ensuring data isolation in a secure multi-tenant cloud environment. ● AI-First Delivery: Pioneer, set standards for, and optimize AI-assisted coding workflows within your team to multiply engineering velocity safely. 2. Team Leadership & Governance (25%) ● Lead by Example: Establish strict engineering standards, run high-value code reviews, and maintain our strict 19-principle development constitution. ● Agile Orchestration: Facilitate daily standups, unblock team members immediately through rapid pair-programming, and align team velocity with business roadmap milestones. ● Professional Growth: Directly mentor senior and junior engineers alike, elevating their technical mastery in modern SaaS engineering patterns. Qualifications & Profile Required Core Experience ● 6+ Years of Professional Software Engineering Experience with at least 1-2 years leading or guiding technical teams in a fast-paced environment. ● Elite React Mastery: Expert-level understanding of React, hooks, performance profiling, responsive CSS (Tailwind), and state management. ● Deep AWS & Serverless Expertise: Hands-on experience building, securing, and deploying serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Cognito). ● Modern Database Patterns: Proven expertise with DynamoDB (NoSQL single-table schema design) alongside a strong background in traditional SQL/Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). ● AI-Assisted Developer Champion: Passionate about and experienced with using AI coding engines (Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) to write better code faster. Preferred & Diversified Qualifications ● Legacy Systems Integration: Experience building custom middleware or ETL pipelines to map modern API layers to older, clunky, or undocumented legacy systems. ● Security & Compliance Ingestion: Familiarity with high-compliance data security frameworks (e.g., GDPR or local data sovereignty laws like Egyptian Law 151) and secure client file vaults. ● Multi-Tenant Architecture: Practical experience partitioning databases and API routes to support secure, isolated, multi-tenant SaaS clients. ● Agile & Git Flow Mastery: Expert in managing complex Git merges, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and managing release rollbacks cleanly.
