The company is committed to quality, tailored service, and building long-term partnerships based on a proven track record of success.Role Description The Handyman role is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Arab Emirates, supporting the upkeep and presentation of holiday homes managed by Nest & Rest. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing basic repairs and maintenance (such as plumbing fixes, electrical checks, painting, and minor carpentry), troubleshooting issues reported by guests or property owners, and ensuring all units are safe, functional, and ready for occupancy. The Handyman will conduct routine inspections, coordinate with other service providers when specialized work is required, and keep accurate records of work completed and materials used. This role also involves responding promptly to maintenance requests, supporting property turnovers between guests, and maintaining a professional, courteous approach when working in occupied or guest-ready homes.QualificationsStrong general maintenance skills across basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, and minor carpentry.Ability to diagnose common household issues, perform repairs safely, and use hand and power tools confidently.Experience in property maintenance or facilities management, ideally within hospitality or residential settings.Good communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with guests, property owners, and colleagues.Strong time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing multiple maintenance requests.Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.Ability to work independently on-site, with reliability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Basic documentation skills for recording completed work, materials used, and reporting recurring maintenance needs.Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.Familiarity with local health and safety practices and willingness to follow company procedures and guidelines.Valid work authorization in the United Arab Emirates; a driver’s license is an advantage.Prior experience in a handyman or similar role; vocational training or technical certification in a related trade is beneficial.
