Here, we do more than just work—we walk together with the shared pride of designing the future of energy for our planet.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join Hanwha Power. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving quality assurance and quality control processes across the entire manufacturing lifecycle of high-speed turbo compressors. You will ensure our products meet stringent industry standards, customer specifications, and internal performance metrics through rigorous inspection, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 and industry-specific standards.Oversee inline and final inspection processes for precision components (e.g., impellers, shafts, casings, and bearings) and assembly operations.Lead investigations into internal non-conformances and customer returns using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis) to drive effective corrective actions.Collaborate with procurement and supplier quality teams to audit vendors, review First Article Inspections (FAI), and resolve raw material or component defects.Supervise and validate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures (e.g., PT, MT, UT) and precision dimensional inspections (Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), dynamic balancing) critical to high-rotation machinery.Initiate and lead Lean Six Sigma projects to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce scrap rates, and improve overall yield.Prepare quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and client-facing quality compliance packages.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.Minimum of 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in heavy machinery, rotating equipment, or precision manufacturing industries.Strong understanding of precision machining processes, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and NDT methods, with demonstrated proficiency in root cause analysis tools (8D, Cause and Effect, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) framework).Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality documentation procedures.Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal) for technical documentation and cross-functional communication.Preferred QualificationsDirect experience in turbomachinery, high-speed compressors, blowers, or gas turbine manufacturing environments.Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Society for Quality (ASQ)).Familiarity with international standards relevant to rotating machinery, such as American Petroleum Institute (API) 617/672, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), or Pressure Equipment Directives (PED).Hands-on experience with CMM programming, dynamic balancing standards (ISO 1940), or vibration analysis.Qualified internal or lead auditor for ISO 9001 quality systems.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)Hanwha Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
