Location: Blue Area, Islamabad, PakistanEmployment Type: Full-timeIndustry: Specialty CoffeeAbout Philosafy CoffeePhilosafy Coffee is building a distinctive specialty coffee experience in Islamabad, combining quality coffee, thoughtful hospitality, and a strong coffee culture.We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee team, maintain high standards of beverage quality, and help shape the overall coffee experience at Philosafy Coffee.The RoleAs Head Barista, you will be responsible for leading the barista team, maintaining consistency in coffee preparation and service, supporting staff development, and ensuring that every cup meets our quality standards.You will play a key role in establishing our coffee culture and creating a professional, welcoming experience for our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the barista team during daily operations.Ensure consistent quality in espresso extraction, brewing, milk texturing, and beverage preparation.Train and mentor baristas on coffee preparation, equipment handling, recipes, and service standards.Monitor coffee quality and maintain consistency across all beverages.Ensure proper grinder calibration, espresso dialing-in, and daily coffee station setup.Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the coffee bar.Support inventory management of coffee, milk, syrups, and other bar supplies.Identify opportunities to improve beverage quality, workflow, and customer experience.Handle customer feedback professionally and maintain a customer-first approach.Support the development and implementation of coffee recipes and operating standards.Stay updated with specialty coffee trends, techniques, and industry developments.Lead by example and foster a positive, disciplined, and learning-focused team environment.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of professional experience in specialty coffee.Strong hands-on knowledge of espresso preparation and specialty coffee brewing.Good understanding of extraction, grinder calibration, and coffee preparation techniques.Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Customer-focused mindset with professional service standards.Passion for specialty coffee and continuous learning.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced café environment.Previous experience in a Head Barista, Senior Barista, or similar supervisory role will be an advantage.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who doesn't simply make coffee, but genuinely understands and respects the craft behind it.If you live and breathe coffee, lead with confidence, care about quality, and want to help build something special, we'd love to hear from you.How to ApplyPlease submit your CV/Resume and a brief Cover Letter explaining your coffee experience, leadership background, and why you would be a good fit for Philosafy Coffee.Email: hr@philosafy.comLocation: Blue Area, IslamabadOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
